Looking at this reminds me of looking up from under foamy ocean-water on a sunny day, and how the rays of light reach down with little etheric fingers that constantly fade in and out.

Today was good and straight-forward.

Got homework assigned in my Machine Design class...should be a modest challenge.

During lunch I played some guitar in the quad area, and Zephyr came by to hang out as well.

After that it was Simulation & System Design, which was a bunch of lecture and note taking. Though today we did talk a little more about application than just the mathematics, which was a refreshing change.

Once the last class got out I went by the student union to get some food. I ended up getting some chinese food but after about eating half of it my stomach started to feel like I'd eaten a bunch of garbage, so I threw the rest away.

I decided to play a little more guitar in the fountain area and had a little company from a girl (Laurel) working at a nearby booth advocating the on-campus student environmental organization. She played some guitar, and I played some guitar, and she asked me to come play and sing at an open-mic portion of their event. So I said what the hell, it'll be a blast!

I also participated in one of the preliminary tournaments for pool today, and got to tier 2. I was beaten by a guy named William who was new to the club, but obviously not new to pool. I won the first round by luck any how...my opponent and I were evenly matched. It was first to three and we were tied at two-two, eight-ball alone on the table between the both of us. He gets his shot, and sinks the eight-ball...and after banking off of three bumpers, scratches the cue-ball. A win is a win. But I only won the first round.
I'll be trying again on Friday.

That didn't get finished until nearly 7:00 P.M., so I gave Lyn a call and told her to meet me halfway across the guy-west bridge for Salsa club.
We met up and exchanged the usual exchange of hmmms and haws about our days.
When we got to the Salsa club we were the only ones there, initially...after about 25 minutes, there were suddenly 20 pairs of dancers.
I like how they do the dancing too, where they have the ladies rotate around between partners. It reminds me a lot of martial arts and how as you change your partners around the same technique and movement becomes a different thing because of the body structures.
Lyn is fun to dance with since she's done a bit of it before, and some times we like to just experiment and see what spins and pulls and swings we can turn out. Dancing is fun!

After the practice portion was over we went to check out this event they were having as a mass-hiring for the wellness center opening on campus next year. However we only found closed doors; apparently if you weren't there by 8:15 P.M. (and our portion of Salsa ended at 8:30 P.M.) you were too late as this was an "interview process" But whatever...it's one of those things where too many people applied, so they were constantly cutting their own words to ribbons.

First : Students who show up to both job-hiring sessions will get preference
Then : Only Students who show up to both job-hiring sessions will be considered.
Finally : If you are late to a session you are not included, because it is an interview process.

Which it isn't.
I looked in and they have the students sitting in large duck-duck-goose circles playing energizer and name games; they were playing the same games that we did for my community service groups. But oh, no, "It's an interview" one in which you have to run around while giggling and playing games.
So I'm just going to fill out an application and turn it in directly to the offices.

And this picture was being stubborn to move/cut/paste, so it got to stay.
But I also kinda like the idea about starting a post with a picture, and ending it with one.
This may catch on, we'll see.

It's Zephyr.
