I have been finding books to be much like video games in that they are a very fun time-sink. I'm about half-way through Ender's Game, might finish the rest of it today or tomorrow. And I love it! Makes me wish I could try my hand at melee combat in zero-gravity, it would be nuts.
Yesterday night I went to a mead tasting event that Steven had at his house. I had forgotten about it however, and Jared had sent me a text reminding me of it. I asked "would I have time for a shower and dinner?" to which he replied "maybe" so I skipped the shower and cleaned/groomed myself as I could and departed. I would have had plenty of time to shower, it would turn out. It turned out alright though, and it was a pretty fun little event. I also got myself three bottles of his Thor's Hammered mead, because it is damn delicious.
I may or may not go to hang out there again today. At the end of last night they were saying I should come over. I've got no reason not to go really, but you know how it feels when you're a bit worn.
You just want to sit like a lump in a warm cozy fashion and read about how there's another species that wishes to exterminate the human species.
Also, the weather was particularly crummy yesterday, so I ended up not running.
But maybe I'd just better learn to endure it, for my sake.
