Somethings I Can't Forget
I started thinking about all the things I miss as a kid. The T.V. shows, the rituals, the books, the friends, the styles, everything. Look and tell me if you did or recognize any of the things I write!!
I remember watching Are You Afraid Of The Dark so damn much. Everyday I'd watch it. Like I'd crap my pants if a marathon was coming on. That's the best T.V. show ever. Nickelodeon was the BEST network backthen. Rocko's Modern Life, Salute Your Shorts, Stick Stickley. I use to come home from school everyday and sit down in front of the tv. My mama would make me a pomento cheese sandwich ( no fail ) every single day, while I obsessivly watched Shop-til-you-Drop and Supermarket Sweep. Those were the good days.
I remember when I was VERY little, like back in the 80's, my favorite toy was my glow worm. That thing was sooo cool. It was a worm in pajama's and a nite cap...and it glowed...pure awesomeness. I watched Rudolph the Rednose Reigndear EVERY christmas season...that was a cool movie. That little jack-in-the-box kinda scared me. Clowns...ack!
In kindergarden I was the playground hoe lol. All the guys liked me. I didn't talk to any of them though, I looked at them, smiled, and said, no thanks. I was so nice. You should have caught me in Kindergarden.
My mama and my sister would check me out of school like once every week to go shopping. I had so much stuff, i was like drowning in crayons and coloring books, hey, dont hate, i still love them :).
Man, I went through SOOOOO many best friends. Alesha, Caneicia, Chelsea, Marissa, Jennifer, Rosie, Jessica, Debra, and Courtney. If I forgot you, shoot me. But ily all. Ya'll we're the coolest.
Man oh Man, I wanna live those days again. Sittin at home chillin with my glow worm eating grilled cheese and watching some stick stickley on the tube. What a goooooood dream.
