Been forever

It's a new year and new fun and hell. Yay!

Everyday things: Class and Work
Well, my work schedule is adjusted and I had my first day of classes. I'm just back from work right now actually. Any hoo, it looks like it will be some work in the classes, but with fewer hours at work, hopefully it won't be a problem.

I'm really looking forward to anime club resuming this Friday. Hee hee, I hope everyone isn't as dead tired as they were during the administrative meeting when everyone just got back on Sunday. I, of course, was still in Kirksville for most of Winter Break, so I was okay, even though I am a bit brain-dead from lack of any good stimuli over break; Wal-Mart is trying to kill my brain! That's the main reason I didn't really get to really have fun with my drawing and writing hobbies over break; I was either at work or too dead tired to do little more than watch new anime or tv.

My new schedule is at Wal-Mart, but now they're scheduling me when they're not suppose to; I am slightly pissed. Fortunately it looks like it will be okay for now, but they better not screw up the next schedule like they did for me today.

Watching the dirtiest Yaoi anime ever and classical music
I went out of my way to watch the smutiest yaoi/shounen-ai anime out there over break, via BitTorrent. Why? Heh, why not?

Well, there are two main reasons: I write reviews for Boys on Boys on Film.com (even if it has been awhile since my last review). Second reason is just so I can be proud and say I've seen these things. LOL.

I've now watched Boku no Sexual Harrassment, Zetsuai, Enzai, Fujimi Orchestra, Kaze to Ki no Uta: Sanctus, Legend of Four Horsemen (Blue Wolves), Level C, and the Mirage of Blaze OVA. I'll be watching Lesson XX after I shower and find something to eat, and of course after I finish this entry. LOL.

Honestly, most of these anime were horrible. In my opinion, none were either really good porn or a really good plot. If you can't have both, at least have one! LOL.

Well, I did like Kaze to Ki no Uta for the retro-ness it embodies and artistic touch, as well as Fujimi Orchestra's disturbing plot set to classical Wagner music, giving it a very interesting atmosphere and feel that highly disturbs but intrigues the viewer. That makes me angry that I can't get more of the Fujimi Orchestra story, since the anime is actually based off novels, like Mirage of Blaze, and those books will never be translated (or at least not for a very, very long time!), and just forget about any Fujimi manga being translated too! Plus, I like stories like this; depressing, melancholy, but still a happy sad.

The moral of Fujimi Orchestra: If you are a straight man who is a violinest and music master of a local orchestra and don't even kiss your girlfriend in the 3 years you've been together, she can't but help think you're gay and assume so...and the one guy she likes and you hate the most (the conductor of your orchestra) can't help but think the same thing and fall in love with you and then sexually assult you. O.o So don't be shy, the youthful men of today! :P

The Mirage of Blaze OVA was good to my liking, continuing the plot of the original tv series I have on dvd. Still very much the gay soap opera. I liked Fujimi Orchestra and Kaze to Ki no Uta for being very artistic. Mirage of Blaze was also artistic, but was a good anime because it was a little more tasteful than all the other anime I watched besides Fujimi Orchestra and Kaze to Ki no Uta. Yes, my yaoi can have tasteful, sensual moments. Nyeh!

Watching Fujimi Orchestra and Kaze to Ki no Uta, as well as the ending of Fullmetal Alchemist awhile back has revived my taste for classical music. I'm enjoying Chopin right now actually; I plan to get some Wagner very soon on cd.

Well, that's that. I'll talk about the more normal anime I watched over break later. I'm going to shower, eat, watch Lesson XX and sleep. It's nice that tomorrow I only have one class at 12:30 and that I don't even work tomorrow. Yay!
