I have an idea... burn him at the stake!
Gwinnett County Commissioner, Bannister, arrested for DUI I voted against this guy in 08 and I hold him responsible for all the garbage shenanigans going on in Gwinnett. I hope they throw the book at him and I hope he does resign (though I seriously doubt it)!

Lexi's new phrase of late is "I have an idea..." Fortunately her ideas are not that bad or scary and we usually take her up on her ideas, but there is nothing more scary for a parent to hear come out of a crafty little preschooler's mouth than "I have an idea!" with the height of voice pitch and excitement. I admit it, I cringe a little when she does this :) probably more so when she is addressing her sister rather than me or Brad.

Anya announced this weekend that she has changed her mind and now wants a baby brother. She also has come up with the names Sonny and Sam as opposed to Apple - her original choice. We just keep reminding her that she is just going to have to love whatever comes out and the naming is mommy and daddy's job ;)
Oh and the reason for the switch? "I already have a sister."

This weekend Brad went to a model show - his first in years. The girls were really rooting for him, "I hope daddy wins," "I hope he gets a trophy." Now, I don't think I have ever known Brad to go to a competition and not win however I was worried that should this be the first the girls would be disappointed. So we made him a trophy which the girls really got a kick out of and Brad has proudly placed in his model cabinet. I was overwhelmed with my daughters excitement and support of their father :) It was incredibly sweet.
And Brad did win a trophy for all but one model. He even landed a silver for the twin tanks he made for the girls before they were born, the girls were very happy with that!

We are having a shower for my sister in early August. This will probably be the last time for the two of us to bond and do pregnancy/new baby stuff together as she lives in Florida and we are due 10 days apart. I just learned yesterday that we may have to do something with my 80 year old aunt after the shower instead of any fun baby bonding at my house. I want to be a brat about it but know it will hurt my mom. I just want to be selfish and share this moment with my sister, its bad enough that we can't do all this stuff together due to the distance. We probably won't even be able to meet each other's babies until the spring unless she is able to come up for Christmas. Kind of sad

My mama bear hormones have kicked in. Last night while in Walmart I confronted a 6 year old boy that was abusing his little sister (about 2 years old). No parent was around and I was kind of hoping for a confrontation so I could threaten CPS on them.

The cafeteria HAD to have loaded baked potatoes today and I just HAD to have one didn't I?! With the girls I had no cravings, this kid is making me eat so unhealthy!
