Had quite the interesting Summer. Did a short stint ar NJPAC in ‘Rent’ (Collins) and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I learned a lot about myself through the character. And I lost like 12 lbs... 12 hour days and running and jumping on tables 6 nights a week have a tendency to do that to you.
Did quite a bit of traveling, too. The show was fortunate enough to take a tour down to Manasquan, NJ which is right by the beach. Good times. :) In addition, my a cappella DUWENDE went to Georgia and Chicago. Performed in front of 5,000 people in Athens with a bunch of talented artists. Chicago held the annual Blues Festival and we were invited to perform. I didn’t get much time to enjoy the town but I did manage to get pizza there. It’s what you have to do... and it was the greatest thing ever.
What’s in the works now? TWO CDs for Duwende and we’re hitting Massachusetts later this month and NYC, home base. As for now? I’m off to Vermont! Never been and its going to be crazy close to the Canadian border.... I bet it’ll be cold. Womp. Wish me luck :)
