True story! This account seems like so long ago... Yet here I am! About to finish off my junior year of college, the boyfriend and I are stronger than ever after 7 months (seems like lifetimes!), planning a really tough semester next fall and an uber-busy summer! And tonight... ah, tonight. :) Tonight I got to see The Second City (Chicago) comedy show on my college campus! For free! And it was awesome!

They opened with the story telling improv game, narrated by Stephen King, Jane Austen, Alexandre Dumas, and Moses, telling a story about a man named W-something and a red tie. The moral of the story: "The best way to find what you are looking for is to look for something else."

There were lots of political skits and a few religious ones, which is interesting considering this is a Catholic college. But it mostly worked out, and the funniest thing they did was a skit about the Virgin Mary and Joseph in marriage counseling. They had to recount the tale of the annunciation, traveling to Bethlehem the "cow town" (it's so true), and Jesus the waterskier without skis or a boat; "It's just WHEEEEE!"

It was a blast, and I'm so glad I went!

It is potentially possible I will get back into fic this summer. But I'm working two jobs, taking two classes, prepping for two tough fall classes (Greek and a poetry independent study), and studying to take the GRE in September. So... probably not. But it's a nice dream!

Ciao :)

P.S. New favorite show = Doctor Who. David Tennant = LOVE. :]
