July 13th is Embrace Your Geekness Day!
Today is Embrace Your Geekness Day! We all know the stereotypical geek of yesteryear was a bespectacled, socially awkward brainiac who got his lunch money stolen, or was stuck writing the group assignment while the "cooler" kids kissed each other in the library stacks (The Breakfast Club, anyone?). But that was then--this is now. Now, geek cred is boss. And while some geeks remain the same, others become Bill Gates, Milla Jovovich, and Iron Man.
A few things to know about geeks:
- GEEK IS SEXY.
- Everyone's a hero is geeky in their own way! (Thanks, Captain Hammer!)
- We all geek out about what we love--one might even say GEEKS ARE LOVE! (Imagine a rainbow banner while you read that...)
- It's good to be the king a geek! (Back me up, Mel Brooks!)
