Hello, everyone :). My name is Joanna, I'm 22, a philology student and a part-time English teacher from Poland. Last year I wasn't able to fully participate, although I did send a load of christmas cards. I hope this year there's more wishes I can fulfill :)
So, without further ado, my list.
1. Cards and any other snail mail. Anything you can think of that could go into an envelope. Letters, photos, amusing articles from your local newspaper, post-it notes... I love getting mail.
2. Fanfics. Anything from Jossverse involving Giles and/or Fred. Giles/Fred will have me setting up a shrine for you. Also, Don Flack from CSI:NY. Anything.
3. LJ paid time/userpics. Traditional to ask :)
4. Icons, banners, wallpapers. Giles(Tony Head) in all pairings, the concept of an OTP is completely lost on me, Fred(Amy Acker), CSI:NY. Giles and/or Fred in a CSI setting. I'm pretty easy and predictable.
5. Teaching supplies. I teach English to a bunch of lovely kids and would greatly appreciate any help in that respect. Kids books, colouring books, sparkly pens, pretty crayons, disney movies, old Saturday morning cartoons... anything for kids and in English and I'll be happy. My kids will be too :)
6. Books. I read everything. Right now I'm still going through a phase of forensic thrillers (especially Jeffery Deaver and Kathy Reichs), so I'd appreciate anything in that vein. I also love Young Adults novels, and never get a chance to enjoy many of the classics, simply because they had not been published in Poland. Babysitters' Club, Nancy Drew, even Sweet Valley High. If it gathers dust on your bookshelf, I'd be eternally grateful. (Also, 'Eclipse' by Stephanie Meyer. I got hooked, and now can't find the new part, woe.)
7. New York souvenirs and memorabillia. I'm dying to go to New York, and maybe, possibly, I'll get a chance this year (I'm slowly gathering funds :D). I'd love anything connected with the place - guides, tickets, newspapers, novelty mugs, maps, postcards, key-chains, I heart NY shirts... just anything :)
8. CSI and forensics stuff. As I said, obsessed. Both with the tv shows and with the forensic science. So, magazines, textbooks, tie-in novels, true crime books, anything.
9. English Literature textbooks. I'm looking into MA programs in English Lit at the moment. I'd love some books on the subject.
10. Have a great Christmas :)
Almost forgot. The address.
