My wishlist

This is my second year on Holiday Wishes. Last year I mailed three packages, and enjoyed the idea of doing something kind for random people. I'm 37, live near Boston, Massachusetts, and work as a freelance graphic designer and photographer. My husband is a huge gamer geek, and I have three spoiled cats and three guinea pigs. This year I am going to try to grant 5 wishes from this community.

My list:

1. For people to use my Associates link when they shop at Amazon.com, so I get referral credits in the form of gift certificates. Last year, I received $40 from orders during Q4 2006. I was able to buy two photography books with the certificate. The great thing: nothing changes on your end; your order will proceed normally; you just need to use the link below, or go through my links at CavyMadness.com or in my LJ profile.

if you happen to be going to Amazon, please click me.

2. Red cats. Doesn't matter whether they're glass, wood, paper, or plastic; I like cats, and I like red (hence my business, rubicat). So: surprise me with red cats. :)

3. Participate in one of those ubiquitous mall Giving Trees. Or Toys for Tots. Just get something for a kid in need. I'm buying for three kids this year.

4. Two high-quality 8-inch round cake pans. Mine are .... old.

5. A book from my Amazon wish list. Or maybe you have something that you're finished with that I'd like just as much! :)

6. Black chenille socks. Squishy, soft, oh-so-comfy chenille socks!

7. Lindt chocolate. I'm a sucker for Lindt. :)

8. If you have friends who like guinea pigs, buy them something from CavyMadness. I have lots of cute gift sets and I want to have a bang-up holiday selling season!

9. Give a scarf to a homeless person. When I worked in downtown Boston, I always gave my cheap mittens and scarves to homeless people on especially cold days. I could always just buy new ones, after all! Sometimes I'd get those coupon books from McDonald's and hand out one here and there.

10. If you know of anyone who needs design services, whether it be a logo, website, or printed items, please consider my services. I am rubicat design and photography, and I'm hoping to get a couple new clients for the New Year. I'm always happy to work on interesting projects, and I'm quite reasonable! No need to be in the Boston area, thanks to the Web. :)

So that's me. I hope everything is within the rules of the community. I really like this idea, and I hope that people are able to get a wish or two granted this year, whether through LJ or serendipitously! :)
