Oh I didn't realize it was only going to be fan fic exchange. I wanted to do graphics (icons, banners, layout) actually.

Oh, that's fine. This was one of my "I knew I was forgetting something!" mistakes. I didn't really anticipate anyone doing graphics, but I have absolutely no problem with it. I'll adjust things.

Were you thinking of receiving graphics, too, or receiving fic?

I don't care what I get, but I'll definitely be giving graphics! :)

How long do back up gifters have before the due date?

Ideally, the actual due-date, but in practice, I'd be willing to give them 1-1 1/2 weeks past it just so that everyone gets *something*.

Are you doing this again this year?

I wasn't planning on it, but I noticed your entry. I could try doing some advertising, I s'pose. Holiday things are always fun. :)

Last time I did this, I didn't get a gift. If that happens again, what will you do about it this year that is different than last year?

This year I'll personally take on backup gifting, although I don't think I'll be capable of doing more than one or two myself. I'll also make a more personal effort to hound contact disappearing participants and to get a backup gifter on your prompt. A lot of the problem last year was that people didn't report defaulting - and then, by the time the season was over, I felt guilty asking for belated help from backup gifters.

Ultimately, it comes down to whether or not people choose to follow through with their commitments, but this year I'll try to take more action against giftlessness.
