A few weeks ago, I promised to tell you what 3/4" dichro I've got available. I finally found it among the hundreds of plugs that I'm hoping to sell over the coming months... I've got regular blue (which I see you have already) and trans spring green.

I'd say that this spring green is definitely on the yellow-er side of the spectrum, based on the pairs that I've owned. It's especially on the golden-yellow-green side in artificial light, and then a cooler, greener green in natural light. Very pretty, I love dichro once it hits this size!

Pics! First, indoor light:

Hallo!

Thanks for getting back to me. I 100% appreciate all the time and effort you took in taking all those photos. :3 I just woke up so my brain's a bit sluggish, but the bottom line is that yes, I'm interested. I don't mind the blemish--it's IS dichro, that's par for the course. And I'm really interested in the transmitted colour--it looks almost purple. o.0 My 1/2" pair was a blood orange colour (fucking godly, it can be seen around the edges of your pictures), and my 3/4" opals is some weird hyper pink colour (that clashes hilariously horribly with the yellowy soring green hue.) That seems like a purple? Either way, whatevs, I'm in.

I may also be interested in your solid blues--my pair is SF and of the dark blue variety, whereas I'd love a pair of more vibrant blueblueblue DF. Like the blue in my 1/2" group shot!

The jewels have since been sold, but the DF crystal rainbows are still available. Now that I know you have at least one pair that I want, I'll hold onto 'em until we work something out. =)

I could take dichro photos all day! It shows in my Flickr sets - that and power plugs. :P

I always enjoy the neat color effects of trans dichro - I have nearly a full set and have toyed with putting nail polish on the backs to have more options. But really, why would I? They're magnificent. These are sort of purple (with a hint of magenta) in that transmitted color.

Here are the blues, they're pretty goddamned blueblueblue:

Yep! I think those are the blue I'm looking for. I think. Either way, I'm interested (since I can always sell my SF pair...or keep them if they're drastically different enough.)

No worries on the crystal rainbow! =) I understand how money goes. Really, though, I shouldn't be buying anything...I just bought $300 worth of Folkvision, $300 worth of Emblem, and $700 worth of GG. Speaking of the GG, though, would you be interested in orange/black power plugs? I HAS QUITE A FEW PAIRS. ^_^;

In all seriousness, though, let me know how much you want for both pairs. =)

I understand - just spent $250 on a tablet and $500 on an airplane ticket!

I'd be curious to see the orange/black power plugs. THIS IS MY WEAKNESS.

I'm looking to get around $100ish each, due to the awesomeness and rarity.

$100 per pair? Hmmm, I'll pass. I would try and explain my reasoning behind it, but our price points are far enough apart that I don't think we're going to find a happy medium, heh.

The power plugs' estimated arrival date is by end of day Tuesday. One of the 1/2" pairs is claimed, but there's still one remaining. =)

Sorry - this is what you get when I reply half-asleep on a Saturday morning. :P

I'd typed something like"$100ish for both pairs," then thought it was a confusing statement... intended to change it to "$50ish each," and apparently managed to... combine them? I should know by now that my fingers are stupid before I'm totally awake. So amend that to what I meant to say - around $50ish for each pair. I don't usually sell 3/4", but I've bought/sold a lot of 1/2" dichro around the $50 mark in the past few years, so this seemed fair considering that these are bigger but do have (minor) flaws. $100 each would be crazy unless these were perfectly perfect red or spirals or something equally unique.

And I'd love to see the remaining 1/2" pair when you have them - and know what you'll be asking! I have a nearly complete assortment of power plug awesomeness, these would be awesome and go with so many things!

Haha, OK, that makes a lot more sense. I mean, I'm dichro-crazy, but not dichro-insane. =P $50 seems a pretty good mean price for most IS dichros.

I think the power plugs in 1/2" will likely be around $70 or so. I was extremely excited to come across all these orange/black--I didn't even know that combination existed, nonetheless that I was going to be able to get my hands on a full run+ of it. I'll need to get them in and see how good the mixes of colour are. There are a lot of pairs coming in, so I didn't get shots of all of them before-hand, I was kind of going on faith. HERE'S HOPING THEY'RE ALL AWESOME. And here's a sneak peek of the 3/4" pair I'll be keeping for myself:

I think the most I've paid for dichro was ~$120 for one of my pairs of spirals. I paid $75-80 for a few things here and there. Breaking the $100 mark for jewelry takes something extra-special!

If the 1/2" pair looks anything like that, I'd be very interested! I've gotten my share of 'meh' power plugs, and one of the combos that I'm still trying to get is a good pair of RED and black. They're always murky and boring. I want texture and streaks of color! And look at the total fail of my brown/turquoise - BOTH PAIRS!

Haha, yeah, good brown/turquoise is pretty much nonexistent. My pair is, like, a different formulation of glass or something--my pair is on top, boyfriend's is on bottom.

Those are gorgeous. Speaking of rare colors, I don't see aqua/lime on your list... ;)

Much of my power plug collection is here, along with some pairs that I've sold or am planning to sell. Look at that 1" brown/turquoise!!! I have a spectacular pair of 1 1/4", but none of the prices to get it cut down to my size have seemed worth it (especially when I add that cost to the $$$ I already paid for a giant pair of power plugs). My aqua/orange and yellow/blue are surprise favorites, because at first I didn't even think that I'd want those combos (sports team colors, bleh) and then they had such amazing contrast and texture!

I'll hold onto both pairs - just think about it, no rush or pressure either way. I'm not that worried about being able to sell them in a little bit if you change your mind. ;)

Ah yes, aqua/lime. I own a pair of triangular weights in that colour combination and love 'em. <3 Realistically, though, I'll never own a pair of 3/4" plugs in that combination. I guess wishlists don't have to be realistic, though, right?

I saw that you have some 9/16" in there--are those for sale, or do you size bounce? I'm getting 4 pairs of 9/16" in orange/black, so the likelihood of getting a "good pair" out of that size is a bit higher. Or, like, cutting them down would be reasonable, but as you said, it can get spendy, especially when you've already spent the money on the plugs.

But yes! I shouldn't take long to get back to you 'n' stuff. I'll bump this in a few days whenever I get the order of power plugs in.

Just realized that I'd never replied to this - I can size bounce to 9/16" SF and occasionally a very mild DF. The power plugs have such a large flare, 9/16" doesn't work for me! But the 9/16" pairs you got were GORGEOUS, which makes me sad.

The last quote I got from Leo on cutting down power plugs was... $70. Ugh. I mean, he works hard and it's understandable, but... ugh.

They're in and listed! I'll let you decide if any of the 1/2" pairs toots your horn.

Thanks! Unfortunately, the 1/2" pairs aren't doing it for me. :(

This is like the story of my life when it comes to power plugs - see gorgeous pairs in nearly every other size, and not a lot of texture/dynamic/variation in the 1/2" ones! Exactly what's happened with red/black and turquoise/brown. I've looked at so many pairs and never found exciting ones.

Yeah, I was hoping for better pairs in 1/2". C'EST LA VIE. Have you talked to GG about cutting down your plugs? I would imagine they could do it cheaper, although it would mean shipping to Mexico. >>

WELL I WANT YOUR DUMB PLUGS, ANYWAY. krametbauer [AT] gmail[DOT] com. Invoice me up whenever. =) And let me know if you change your mind about any of those beautiful 9/16" pairs. ;-)
