What a crazy move
Well we are finally here in Indiana after one heck of a crazy move. When we got here and had the water turned on we found the water pipes had burst since the family never winterized the place. At first we thought it was just one or two breaks and it turned out to be pretty much every pipe. After two days of trying to fix the copper pipes my brother and law and I just replaced everything with Pex. It took a few hours and we had the whole place up and running. Well almost. The shower still isn't working since we decided to redo it. New tile and everything. That should be done by this weekend.
On top of the water pipes we had phone and internet turned on on monday and by Wed our dsl modem was fried. Just got the new one today and I ran new phone lines since apparently the ones in the house were bad. Finally back on the web again. Yay! Need to fire up some World of Warcraft now...
We also decided to put in a dishwasher and repaint the cabinets. We're in the process of finishing that up. Still a ton to do but it's a work in process. No house payments means everything that would go towards a mortgage will go into remodeling and renovating. I am hoping to put an addition on the house next summer. I want to make the kitchen bigger and add another bedroom.
