It seems that even the Dark Lord takes a Christmas Holiday.
As the Wizarding World tucks into the Christmas season, things seem to be calming down on the dark magic front. Perhaps, like the Napoleonic Army, the Death Eaters are just bogged down by the record amounts of snowfall England is seeing this year. Or maybe something far worse is brewing.
The students at Hogwarts are excited for the two week break. Many head home for the holidays on the first Wednesday, surprised that Malfoy and Snape are even letting them do this. Neither the Headmaster nor the Minister has made any sort of press statement about why this is being allowed, although many assume that it is because of the most recent phenomena-since the kidnapping of Louvika Hawkins, no one else has gone missing or been found dead.
Peculiar, right?
Surprisingly, no one seems happy about this. Most people are waiting for the next big attack instead of enjoying their gentle reprieve from gloomy news. The Wizarding World is shell-shocked and nothing is going to stop that.
Meanwhile, those members of the notorious Death Eaters and the Future United Kingdom Death Eaters are more nervous than most. Since knowledge of one another’s doings are so limited by the Dark Lord, no one knows for certain what is being planned right now and what role they are going to play. One thing is certain, though: it’s going to be big.

MOD-NOTES
-POST HERE TO INDICATE IF ANY OF YOUR STUDENTS ARE STAYING FOR THE HOLIDAYS OR NOT. There shall be parties in store.
-You will notice that there are two weeks in this post instead of one. This is because I don’t anticipate many threads this week due to the fact that some students will be home for Hogwarts. If your students do go home for the holidays, please post some sort of journal entry, or even a thread to indicate what they’re doing for the holidays, so that way their absence isn’t just an excuse for you to not play them! Remember, too, you can thread them with other characters at Diagon Alley, or a Quidditch match or something, too, or, if a friend invites them over for the holidays. Get creative!
-PLEASE if you want to suggest a plot line or offer your characters up for plottage (it doesn’t even have to be -bad- plottage, a la Lou Hawkins!), don’t be afraid to either post on the appropriate thread in Dumbledore’s journal, or message me on AIM at Hippy Took. I would love to harm your characters J And plus, my poor Hawkins Family… they’re so abused.
-The mods have complied a list of places to advertise HTL and we would really like to have one or more people volunteer to write up some ads and be in charge of posting them there routinely! If you’re interested, please post here and let the mods know! If no one does… well, then they’ll end up doing it, on top of all the rest of the work they already do for you… /Good Old Catholic Guilt
