Galahad sat in his chair at the middle-front of the room, rather than behind his desk, while he waited for his class to be seated. He was very quiet, with his legs crossed at the ankles, his hands in his lap, and his eyes at the back of the room. Though he kept his style of wearing Muggle clothing, he was dressed differently; he wore all black. It was something he rarely ever did, and the students may have noticed. He wore a black sweater, black slacks, and glossy black shoes.

His eyes scanned the room once he heard the sound of movement cease, and then he stood up. He pushed his chair back over to his desk before he came back to the front of the class. "I know," he started, "that this morning is tough for a lot of us, if not all of us. What happened last night was a sick, tragic thing. A few of you may have lost a family member, a friend, a dorm-mate, a housemate. Because of that you may feel scared, lost, sad, angry.. but you have pull though it. It will be hard but the main thing is that your friends would want you to go on, but remember them.

"The Headmaster has made class attendance mandatory, but if I won't hold it against you if any of you decide to leave as long as you have the need to. Grief is a terrible thing. We, if you want, can take a moment to talk about anything that happened last night. You can ask me anything you want, and I'll try my best to answer you, but I won't have the answer to everything." Galahad made a very long pause to see if anyone had an questions.

After standing there for at least several minutes, Galahad went over to the record player and turned it on softly to play Amazing Grace:

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That sav’d a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev’d;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believ’d!

Thro’ many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promis’d good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease;
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call’d me here below,
Will be forever mine.

Once the song had finished, the Professor looked to the class once more. "There will be no homework assigned today. You can ask any questions about what we've studied, if you need extra help. You can stay if you fancy it but you're dismissed.." With that, Galahad went to lean on his desk as some of the class left or stayed. He wasn't paying attention enough to notice.
