Andrew Frazer helped himself to a banana as he sat down at the Gryffindor table on Friday morning. He hadn't been able to eat anything heavier than a piece of fruit or vegetable since the attack on Sunday. He wasn't deliberately starving himself, it was just that anything with more substance made him feel ill. Especially since Wednesday's news that Lou's mother had been found brutally murdered. Andy had been feeling hopeful of Lou's safe return but this put every single doubt in his head. Why would they kill one and not the other? The only thread of hope he had left was the fact that little Malachy had been found safe.
It was really the only thing keeping him sane. That and the fact that Bacchus was healed from the curse that had struck him on Sunday night. He looked towards the entrance as if expecting to see his secret boyfriend walk through. But he didn't at that moment and Andy turned back to take a tiny bite of his banana.
