"Don't talk to me like I'm five years old," Andy growled in return. "I'm not from some trailer park, I don't want to date my mother." He walked just behind Bacchus, trailing slightly, which meant he was sulking.

"You're overreacting. It's the Ministry. The government. I'm not stupid enough to think the 'man' tells us everything, but come on! You think they're gonna take all the muggleborn's names and start offing them? Don't you think someone would notice? There'd be a fucking war if something like that happened. You think the British Ministry of Magic wants to go up against all the other wizards in the world if they started culling the mudbloods? Gimme a break

Bacchus rolled his eyes exhasperatedly.

"Yeah, okay, it would be pretty cool if it were true, Andy, but it isn't! I don't know much about the Muggle government, but ours is corrupt, mate--it's fucking fucked up!" he growled, releasing the boy and starting to stalk away from him, knowing that Andy would follow.

"You don't gotta get all defensive, either! I didn't say you was sleepin' with your mum or none like that! You just don't know blokes like Malfoy! My Uncle Magnus had to go to his house once for this smarmy party-sort. Andy, this hatred that man's got for Muggleborn's runs deep! He got a little noshed at the party and was going on to Maggie about needing to make sure his kids only married purebloods and the sort... saying rest of 'em 'just oughta be off'd' and shit! "I didn't say you said I was sleeping with my mother," he replied incredulously. "I was saying you're acting so much like my mother and that shit doesn't float my boat." He pushed himself off the wall with his back muscles and continued to follow on after Bacchus. He thought about ducking down one of the corridors because Bacchus clearly wouldn't notice he was missing until he stopped talking (god only knows when that would happen

"I am not acting like your mother-- I'm trying to protect you and you're being completely asinine about is!" Woah, did Bacchus just use a big word? He must've been angry.

"Andy, it ain't just insults they get, yanno? They don't even get death threats-- they get fucking killed! You don't understand how our politics work, alright? Just admit that already! It ain't like the Americans-- we don't have Amendments protecting people because of their blood status. The old councils didn't want to inflict that because back in the old days, people were a lot more prejudiced and they thought if they put laws like that into effect, a lot more people were going to rebel!"

Woah. Did this mean Bacchus actually sometimes paid attention in History of Magic?
