Personality: Pinkie is energetic, to say the least. She's often found bouncing from place to place, talking at high speeds, loud volumes, and about anything that enters her head, whether it makes sense or not. She's quite excitable; the first time we see her, she gasps at Twilight Sparkle and dashes off. Later, we find out it's to throw her a welcoming party, which is something else she does quite frequently. She's always throwing parties for any occasion she can think of.
Pinkie is the spirit of laughter. Everything is fun and exciting, and she looks for any excuse to laugh. She literally laughs in the face of danger, believing that if you can laugh your fears away, everything will be all right. She loves to pull pranks on people as well, though she's not malicious about it at all. It's all in good fun, and because of that, she won't pull pranks on those she knows are sensitive to such things. She also loves all kinds of games; word games, guessing games, any kind. If there's a game, Pinkie's game, one way or another.
Despite her constant energy and tendency to take most things literally ("She's the cat's pajamas! Wait, why would she steal a cat's PJ's?"), she's actually quite smart inside that bubbly head of hers. It mostly shows in the form of her creativity, strange contraptions, and spur of the moment songs. She can come up with a song on the spot about pretty much anything. She's also quite knowledgeable about unusual subjects. Pinkie was the only one who knew what the Parasprites were, that they were a problem, and how to get rid of them, though no one listened to her, because it just seemed like another one of her harebrained schemes.
Generally, its difficult to bring her down. She always tries to get along with everybody, even if they might seem mean. She thinks that perhaps she's misjudging them. She makes friends with everyone, and isn't in the least bit shy.

She's an excellent baker, due to her family owning a bakery
She always manages to remain cheerful even in the worst of situations
She's great at coming up with songs on the spot
Weakness
She can be hard to understand
She can be overbearing and stifling sometimes
A lot of what she says makes little sense to everyone else
She doesn't always understand the seriousness of a situation.

She opes her mouth and...

♪Today I caught my very first Pokémon
My destiny as a trainer has finally begun.♫
[The first couple lines are slow and sung well, but the song seems to pick up beat as Pinkie begins to dance around, barely keeping herself from falling over on her unsteady human feet.]
♪Today I caught a Pokemon, one more member added to my team.
Roll call! SwirlPuff the Igglybuff, puffing down your house.
Now we have HoppyLeaf the Hoppip, hopping merrily along♫
♪Who will my next Poké be~♫
So yeah, I caught my very firsty first Pokémon and I'm so so so so so excited! It's a Hoppip, and I named him HoppyLeaf, because he has two leafy leafs growing out of his head, and he's SOOO adorable. SwirlPuff seems to like him too, don't you SwirlPuff? [The Igglybuff can be heard off screen agreeing.]
So I was really wondering the other day, what was everypony's first Pokémon that they, like actually caughtcaught?
Third Person Sample: It was time to throw a party! Well, there had been several times to throw a party: when she first arrived, when she found Rarity, when they found Twilight, when she caught her first Pokémon, whenever she won a battle, when she caught her second Pokemon, when they got to Cherrygrove. But now of all times especially! Because now they were ALL TOGETHER.
Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy met them in Cherrygrove's Pokémon Center and Pinkie couldn't have been more excited, as was evidenced by her continuous bouncing around the room. She'd already tripped into things three times, ran into two different strangers, and fallen right into Twilight, landing in heap with her on the floor. Human legs were so silly, really. She still didn't understand how they operated with just two of them. They must fall down a lot. It didn't stop her from bouncing all across the Center as she planned the party.
There were going to be LOTS of decorations. Decorations were the important part. Streamers of all kinds. And balloons! They were Pinkie's favorite. They would fill the ceiling with balloons. Then there were the games! Games were Pinkie's favorite part of a party. She knew all kinds of party games. And the refreshments! She'd have to get her hands on a kitchen somehow.... She hadn't cooked as a human yet, but she figured hands could only make it easier.
"And cake, and cookies, and chocolatey-chocolate chocolate brownies. Eeeee! This is going to be SO. MUCH. FUN. I wonder if they sell party hats here? Do you think they sell party hats?! And maybe new outfits! Though I really like this one! It's to die for, as Rarity might say, but I didn't really die for it... I hope no one else did."
So much planning! Pinkie was on a roll. This was going to be the funnest fun fun fun party to ever fun!
