CHARACTER
Name: Cissnei
Age: mid 20's(25)
Canon: Final Fantasy VII (Before Crisis, Crisis Core)
History:
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Cissnei Personality: Cissnei was raised in a very strict environment and often that shows in her actions. She's very resolved and focused, especially when on assignments. She's also been known to be a bit cold, not letting things effect her as they might others. She's been well trained. Not that she's heartless, however, as taking a life is ending a life, and she'd rather not have to if she has a choice.
Aside from that, she is very caring towards her friends and colleagues. She's the office mom, so to speak. Because of this, she can come off as sounding bossy and demanding, which she doesn't mean at all. She's just trying to look after everyone in the best way possible. Unfortunately for some, the best way possible isn't always the way they agree with.
She's largely a quiet person, generally fine with staying in the background and observing. It's easy to forget she's around. This way she doesn't miss much. Cissnei is a very keen observer and can often profile someone after a single conversation. She has a background in psychology. Though reserved, she's not above teasing those around her light-heartedly with small smiles and innocent looks.
Outside of work, she tends to be on the girly side. She loves chocolate and romance stories, and at night, loves nothing more than to take a warm bath and curl up with the latest mystery thriller or steamy romance. She often dreams of finding the perfect guy and riding off into the sunset. She also has a weakness for stuffed animals and has a small collection stashed away in her room.
IN GAME
Brief In-Game History:
Cissnei was orphaned at a young age. She has no real memories of her parents except for vague flashes, which, these days, she realizes are probably just memories her mind invented to make up for not having any. She grew up in orphanages all over Italy, having been shuffled here or there as the government saw fit.
She had always been a fairly quiet girl, keeping to herself and daydreaming. This often made her a target for the orphanage gangs. They picked on her, stole her food, and any toys she may have gotten, pushed her around. She quickly had to learn to fend for herself. She learned easily, and just watching the kids fight with each other, she picked up on their techniques. One day when they came calling, Cissnei showed them what for. From that day forward, she was tentatively invited into the gang. She accepted.
Around the time she was thirteen, she was out with one of the orphan gangs on the streets of Vizzini. A fight had broken out across the street, and she'd seen three men murder two others before turning their guns on the kids. The rest of the gang had all been killed on the spot, but Cissnei had somehow survived. So the men, members of the Mendolia family, had picked her up and taken her in. Perhaps she was a candidate for the perforare.
Experiments were run, and she was found to be one of those special people who could utilize the special abilities of the perforare. It was the reason she'd survived the shooting in the first place. Many tests later, they had learned what her abilities were. She was adopted into the Mendolia Famiglia, and trained in the art of espionage and assassination. Her talent for psychology and profiling was discovered early on, and occasionally she was asked to interrogate suspected traitors. She was also taught proficiency in a number of weapons and martial arts, but her personal favorite is a large shuriken, which she has dubbed Rekka.
After four years of training and settling into the family, her first assignment was to find more children like herself. She was sent to her old orphanage. It was a test of loyalty. Can you do to others what we've done to you? But the Mendolia had been a saving grace for Cissnei, picking her up off the streets and allowing her to reach her full potential, something she might not have been able to do otherwise. The mission hadn't turned into a complete slaughter. Only four people died that day, but the orphanage was left without its primary caretakers. Only one little girl was retrieved and brought back. The rest of them were left to fend for themselves, whether they would give up and die, or fight and survive. Cissnei never looked back.
Currently, she mostly does recon and espionage work for the Mendolia, but will take on assassination missions if assigned. She's good with children, and often brings back potential subjects for Mendolia's research team.

First Person:
[Her face comes on the screen, looking mildly unhappy.]
I've completed my assignment, finally, but it seems as if things have been happening while I was away. The Palermi making such a public display like that... not the smartest move they could have made. Poor Thomas. I wasn't close with him, but he certainly didn't deserve something like this.
I should be back in Vizzini in a few hours, if someone wants to give me the full details of what happened. And I'm here if anyone wants to talk.
Third Person:
The others were causing a ruckus, dumping over trash cans, scaring passersby, making loud noises. She was trailing behind, observing as usual, and being the lookout, as that was the only reason they allowed her along. There was a gaggle of grownups outside one of the shops. To kids like her, grownups were the enemy. The older boys were deciding what prank they should pull on them, when the grownups broke out into a slaughter. Guns were drawn, and shots were fired. Stupid as these kids were, they screamed and tried to run, but the screaming alerted the attention of the grownups with guns. More shots were fired and Cissnei's gang fell around her.
She'd been hit as well, she felt the sting in the back of her neck. She felt herself falling. It felt like slow motion, yet everything was flashing by so quickly. Hitting the pavement was nothing compared to the pain in her neck, and she barely noticed when she did. So this was how it was finally going to end. She hadn't even been able to do anything.
Her vision was white, and there was a loud ringing in her ears. She was vaguely aware of noises, and the feeling of... hands? She was being lifted.
"Let's take her back to the labs."
Labs? That was her last conscious thought before everything stopped.
