Whales and J.R. playing in the T station

So I went on a whale watch today and it was really cool. I was very surprised by how much garbage people throw in the ocean. I think it's harder to notice until you're in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean looking for whales. It pissed me off so much. It was really awesome but like 4 hours long. The whales we saw were amazing. There was one whale named Nile who kept putting his fin in the air and smashing it onto the water. The lady said he was either telling the third whale to come closer or go away. I think he was telling it to go away because the third whale went away. The lady was getting a little to excited, it was pretty funny. She was lets find some more! Then this one whale like disappeared under water and all of sudden came up like less than a foot away from the boat, it was amazing. All the whales were these huge Humpback Whales. It was really cold though.

Then I went to Borders and bought the Fragile Things audiobook so I can now relive the Yale book reading in my head everytime I listen to Neil Gaiman tell those three stories. YAY. Okay so I'm a little obsessed there's nothing wrong with that. The people at Borders even had to go to the basement to get the audiobook. I thought that was pretty apporopriate way to acquire a Neil Gaiman audio book, having to go to the basement to get it.

The BEST part of the night was yet to come however. So we had this boy, J.R., who used to go to my school and graduated last year. He was very Hampshire-ish, dreadlocks, tye-dye shirts, played his guitar on park benches around campus, and slept in sleeping bags in the rape-park. Well he graduated to go teach (I'm assuming he found a job) and campus hasn't been the same without him lol. Well Sarah and I went to get on the train to go home and we heard music and I was like, "HOLY SHIT, IT'S J.R." So we went over and I put a dollar in his guitar case and clapped when he finished and he recognized us (it's hard not to when your school only has 500 people living on campus) and he was like, "Hey what's up?" It was so funny and like made our night. He must make a lot of money because everyone was leaving him money.

Best Line of thie BFS song is, "Katie had a baby, so I guess Tom's straight." (Sorry, I HATE Tom Cruise)

Anyway Big E tomorrow YAY! Maybe I'll have some more LiveJournal moments then.
