Canon: Gundam 00
Character: Tieria Erde
Timeline: Season 2: Episode8 "Twistedness of Innocence" Right after the undercover mission.
Personality: Tieria started out closed off from the other Gundam Meisters. He cared little for the concerns of others and lacked any interest in getting to know them. In fact he distrusted them a great deal, after all, humans are fallible. Respecting them very little, he tolerated the other members of Celestial Being to fulfill his life purpose: The eradication of war and the reformation of the world. Tieria carried the beliefs of Aeolia Schenberg (founder of Celestial being, the organization he has devoted his life to) deep in his heart, and made it the most important thing to him. Taking great pride in his ability to directly link to Veda (that which lead Celestial Being), he viewed himself to be the most worthy of being a Gundam Meister. Thinking himself to be special and an essential part of the plan, Tieria built himself to be strict, leaving no room for error. "Taking his job seriously" did not begin to cover how he carried out his missions. If anyone did anything to jeopardize the mission, Tieria would deliver disciplinary action, going as far as to attempt to take another Meister's life over a small mistake. When he himself gave away information before the Plan called for it, Tieria wept over his own short-comings. Quick to anger, he took his failures and pushed them off onto the tactical forecaster, trying to get her to claim responsibility. Traits like these left him an outcast, and to be the least liked amongst the Ptolemy crew.
Things started changing for Tieria when Veda got taken away from his crew. No longer able to connect to the system he viewed as most would view a god, left him shaken, uncomfortable, and unsure. He shrank into himself, and began to doubt his life's purpose. If he could no longer connect to Veda, he no longer deserved to be a Gundam Meister. Even though he hadn't put much faith in the other Meisters, they didn't give up on him. Ultimately, what caused the most change in Tieria was Lockon's selfless caring, Setsuna's steadfast ideals, and Sumeragi's struggle to triumph over the past. He grew more trusting of the others, and started to respect them the more he actually saw them. Being cut off from Veda gave him time to get a real look on the crew around him. Eventually he opened up, learning his own human aspects, and it gave him a new, stronger purpose to fight for.
When Lockon got hurt protecting him in battle, Tieria reacted the most emotional way he ever had. He withdrew, blaming himself for his comrade's (friend's?) injury, and he tore himself up over it mentally again and again. And it was Lockon himself that get's Tieria out of his funk. He had a strong connection to the other Meister, and felt he owed the man a great deal. This took a turn to the tragic, when Tieria failed at keeping Lockon from a battle that cost him his life. He was riddled with grief, emotionally distressed, and angery. Once more he tried to push the blame onto another for his comrade's death, but got immediately chastised for it. In the next big battle that followed after it, Tieria fought valiantly, in the name of Lockon, but the odds were stacked against Celestial Being. Accepting his loss, Tieria was ready to go to the place Lockon had went, to join him in death.
His heart healed over time, and he went about carrying out the missions as he did before. There isn't any other major shifts in his personality until he is confronted by his genetic twin: Regene, four years later. It shook him worse than his loss of Veda, and had him questioning his own motives. Whether he was on the right side of the war, or not.
Personality ver2:
Tieria is withdrawn and guards his emotions from others. On the exterior he comes off as stuck up, elitist, and uncaring. He values not the effort for the task, but the conclusion. Tried your hardest and still came up short? No excuses. You are to do what you're expected of or you will get zero respect from this man. In fact the more short-comings you have leave him at a loss for why you exist at all, and he would gladly correct this mistake. Tieria has a strong belief in what he is doing, and for that he would gladly devote his entire life to it. He is determined and dedicated once he decides to fight for something. He is well aware that he was born to fulfill this mission (literally bred for it), so to him it means everything.
This is something he constantly gets caught up on. Tieria was born for this mission. What would be his reason for existence if he were to fail or fall short? It also bothers him deeply when others don't strive with his level of devotion. He is quick to anger on this subject, and he even admits afterwords that he might have over exaggerated. Tieria is one to hold everyone to the same standard as he does for himself. If he ever falls under his own expectancy he falls fast into a spiraling depression. Even when people express forgiveness, it still takes him a while to get over the matter.
With his strong drive and determination, he has lead a very straight forward life. By the books and as predictable and manageable as possible. Tieria has great difficulty adjusting when life throws him curve balls. He is quick to be shaken, and gets rather nervous when doing things out of his routine. He sticks to his plans so these uncertainties never creep in.
On the other hand, once you do earn his trust, once you do something to finally get him to open up to you, he starts to treasure you. Going far out of the way to help you, even at the cost of his all-important missions. Already being a devoted person, once it gets directed at you he treats you like family. He has difficult showing affection (far from wearing his heart on his sleeve) and normally expresses it through sarcasm and snark, which most of the time people mistake it for more uncaring and distrust. But it's the fact that he is comfortable to joke with you shows how connected he is.
Regene: His twin has a hold over him, and serves as a temptation. Just when Tieria became comfortable around his crew, finally trusting and putting faith in them, Regene comes out of nowhere -literally, since Tieria didn't know he existed- offering him "truths" about Aeolia's Plan. Telling him that his crew was going against it, getting in the way of it, and ruining it. And as above mentioned, Tieria views the Plan to be the sole reason for his existance. Finding this all out disturbs him deeply.
Regene then goes to offer Tieria the choice to join his side, the right side, and continue fulfilling his purpose. Now Tieria has become torn to fight with the Plan he was born to follow, or fight along side the people he has come to trust and care for.
At the point in the series where I grab him from he is still on the fence with what he should do, but he has grown a distaste for the man who leads the side Regene is on.
Background:
Tieria was not born like the other Gundam Meisters, he was created. Much the same as the other Innovades, he was made in a controlled incubation chamber, and had his upbringing closely watched by Veda, monitored until his release into society. It was in the year 2305 AD that Teiria was accepted as a Gundam Meister for Celestial Being, and when he first met the others on the team. He spoke out against having Setsuna on the team (his being only 14 at the time) but since it was Veda who recommended him the position, Tieria immediately backed down.
Two years later Celestial Being began their Armed Interventions on all acts of war. At first it was a unknown where such strong mobile suits came from, but soon after a couple missions a public announcement was made. A video of Aeolia Schenberg broadcasted worldwide explaining that they would completely eliminate all acts of war. The world would now start to change.
After doing several armed interventions on earth, Tieria once again doubted Setsuna's ability to follow orders, and in extension: Veda's plan. He quickly returned to space, feeling more comfortable up there rather than being on the earth's surface. Soon after they site Moralia as a source of conflict and begin an intervention. All went smoothly, until Setsuna steps out of his cockpit, putting the entire mission in jeopardy. Their tactical forecaster has to work quickly on her feet to get the Meisters out of that one, but they manage. Tieria warns Setsuna there that if he pulled something like that again that he would, without hesitation, shoot him down. Soon after the unconditional surrender of Moralia, the Meisters landed and Lockon confronted Setsuna on why he'd pull such a stupid stunt. Setsuna, refusing to give a reason, incited Tieria's anger. Pulling a gun on the younger Meister, he states that Setsuna's actions are a liability to the team, and puts them at unnecessary risk. At this Setsuna pulls out his own gun, refusing to be pulled out of the position and mission. This makes the situation worse, and it's only Allelujah's words that Veda chose them or they wouldn't be there, that saved the situation.
Soon after this mission, a terrorist group starts attacking innocents, claiming that they won't stop until Celestial Being ceases operations. This causes great worry in Lockon and Allelujah, however Tieria rolled his eyes at the entirety of the situation. This surprises the others, but Tieria explains that casualties were in the scope of Veda's plan, and there actions wouldn't stop for something so ridiculous. Lockon took this as a personal offense, but the fight was quickly broken up by Setsuna who said that the terrorist group was still committing acts of war. An intervention was needed, regardless.
After all these interventions, the Human Reform League was determined to bring about the end of Celestial Being and capture a Gundam. They tracked down their mother ship Ptolemy, and caught Celestial Being off guard. Sumeragi quickly formed a plan and launched Allelujah and Tieria as diversions, but the HRL anticipated this and countered with their own diversions, distracting the two Gundam Meisters. When Tieria returned from the distraction he found that Allelujah had let himself and his Gundam be captured. Enraged at this atrocity, he pointed his Gundam's GN Bazooka at the Transport, intent on taking it out, along with his ally. However Tieria was quickly engaged by two units before he could fire, allowing Allelujah some time to regain consciousness and get himself out of the Transport. With the "Winged One" no longer in reach, the HRL decide to make a grab at Virtue (Tieria's Gundam). He was quickly out-numbered, but he fought on with confidence, although soon he was rendered immobile. In a state of panic, Tieria did the only thing he could. He had the Virtue shed it's armor, revealing a different mobile suit underneath: The Nadleeh. He started eliminating the enemies, and the rest of them quickly fled his cannons. After the battle Tieria broke down in his cockpit. He was afraid he was no longer fit to be a Gundam Meister, having revealed Nadleeh so early in their operations. He questioned his right as a steward to Veda, and his confidence was shaken. After pulling himself back together, he blamed the error on Sumeragi's inability to predict the enemy's actions, and he blamed her loudly and to her face.
Then next mission Tieria took was another with Allelujah. It had close ties to the other, and Tieria believed that Allelujah handling his past would make him a true Gundam Meister. This caused his doubt in Allelujah to vanish.
After months of interventions the crew took a short vacation at an informant's mansion. It was there that they received the news that the three main opposing governments (HRL, Union, and the AEU) were having a joint military exercise. They were surprised they were all working together so quickly, but in the end they figured there was more going on than a simple exercise. They were right in assuming so, and they engaged the terrorists attacking the nuclear facility near by. Once more the Meisters split into pairs, this time with Setsuna and Tieria working together. The battle was the longest lasting, and on the fifteenth hour, the enemy bombardment finally stopped. The two took this opportunity to retreat from the battlefield and split up. This was a set up however, as the enemy took advantage of Virtue's slow maneuverability and ensnared it once more. This capture didn't last long however, as an unknown Gundam mobile suit came to Tieria's rescue. Although they helped him escape, Tieria was uneasy about their new ally, as they were not mentioned anywhere in Veda's plans.
Almost immediately afterwords, the new Gundam Meisters, calling themselves Team Trinity, requested an audience. After some hesitation the Ptolemy crew confirm their intentions and agree to meet with them. Tieria noted in their meeting that the new Meisters seemed to lack the resolve and the determination that is required of a Gundam Meister. Finding them to be too carefree and immature, he found them rather unfit for their position. This marks the first time he and Setsuna agree on something, and Tieria confronts him on this, glad to see someone agreeing with him on this matter. Team Trinity answered no questions their crew had for them, and Tieria even caught the youngest one slinking around the terminal that connected to Veda. They were filled with suspicion and unease... but why else would they have Gundams, if not for the Plan?
Team Trinity jumped right in on the armed interventions with haste and full force. They blew up a lot of military bases that weren't causing any acts of war, and indiscriminately killed civilians. In short, they were ruthless. The large amount of casualties from the new Gundams painted Celestial Being as more of a villainous organization to the public, contorting their image. The Ptolemy crew kept their distance and observed their new counter parts, becoming more and more suspicious and weary with each intervention. The crew's main mechanic Ian soon discovered that the only difference between the mobile suits were the GN drives, the main things that operated the Gundams themselves. This lead them to believe that there was a traitor stealing information from Veda.
Tieria thought this idea to be ludicrous. Someone hack into Veda? Impossible. So he himself investigated Veda's files himself, as he was the only one among the Ptolemy crew to access Veda's highest levels of information. He worked his way up through the levels of data, and it was around Level 7 that he started to find anomalies, and upon closer inspection got booted out of the system. Shocking Tieria, he was suppose to be granted the right to look at those files, a job he took great pride in. He quickly began another scan, but this time was immediately booted out at Level 1, leaving Tieria feeling hollow, wondering just what was going on.
It was after Team Trinity's attack that killed over 800 civilian workers, that Setsuna decided it was time they made a intervention of their own. The Trinity were using Gundams, the very embodiment of Celestial Being's ideology, to commit acts of war and massacre. This was something that also outraged Tieria, and they both took off into their Gundams before even asking their leader. This was the first time Setsuna and Tieria worked so well in battle, so in sync with each other. Tieria knew that even though they were outnumbered by the enemy their victory was assured, because Setsuna was there. In this moment he trusted Setsuna completely, and drew power from the fact that they both felt so strongly on this goal. They worked well together, fighting the enemy on an even scale, although outnumbered. However it was Virtue's slow mobility that got in the way once more. This caused Tieria to bring out Nadleeh once more. He grew confident, as he released a special move only he was gifted with: The Trial System. This allows him to take complete control over any of Veda's machines, leaving the pilots helpless. He revels in this moment, telling them that they have brought dishonor to the name Gundam and deserve one thousand deaths. As the Trinity team is plummeting towards the ground, Tieria made a move to finish off one of the Trinity, when suddenly the Trial system shut off. Regain the ability to move once more they dodged out of the way of the attack. Tieria knew immediately that this had something to do with his rejected access to Veda's privileged files. Tieria's hesitation distracted him a moment in battle, which left an opening for the other team. Lockon however shows up and supplies cover for him, causing their team to get the upper hand once more. Trinity decides to make a tactical retreat, but not before spilling some incriminating information about Setsuna.
Lockon confronted Setsuna on the information gained from their enemies in from of Tieria. This is where he learned the reason to fight for both the Meisters, and where he learned why Setsuna first stepped out of his cockpit. It brought the three a little closer together, and Tieria gets his first understanding on what 'being human' really meant. Forgiveness, understanding, and comradery.
After Team Trinity's brutal armed interventions the Union, HRL, and AEU all decide to join forces against the Gundams as the United Nations Forces. With this the first part of Aeolia Schenberg's plan was completed, although it unsettled Celestial Being that it was brought about from Trinity's armed interventions. Tieria expressed unease at the swift flow of events, seeing as it all seemed to match up too perfectly. Trinity's appearance, the low military activity from earth, and now a union. After the announcement the Ptolemy crew returned into space to figure out their next move. Upon meeting up with Sumeragi Tieria asked what sort of punishment she was going to give him for in early attack without authorization. Both Lockon and Sumeragi told Tieria not to worry about it, as she had agreed with his sentiments at the time. This baffled Tieria, knowing that his insubordination shouldn't go unpunished. He understood what they were trying to say however, and decided to try to accept the actions of his leader. Realizing he was agreeing to something illogical, he couldn't help but smile.
Soon after reuniting with the full crew, they get a transmission that the Trinity were engaging in a battle with the HRL. Apparently they were forced to retreat after ten new mobile suits showed up on the scene. These new mobile suits carried the same sort of Psudo GN drive as the Trinities had, but further unsettled the Ptolemy crew. They were going to have to have Gundams fight Gundams.
Tieria reflected on this new outcome and it finally sunk in that Veda had really been stolen from him. He began having doubts that without Veda, they really didn't have a hope at fighting those with similar Solar Reactors. Lockon steps in to give him some words of encouragement, and said that is was more important now that the world has turned against them that they work together as a team. It is also here that Lockon lets on that he might know that Tieria isn't a human being, but rather an innovator.
The UN quickly launched an assault on the Ptolemy crew, and the four Gundam Meisters engaged them in battle. It was understood immediately that their units were an even match, except the UN had overwhelming numbers. At a clear disadvantage, Allelujah comes up with a theory that they were meant as sacrifices in the Plan. This angered Tieria, he simply couldn't believe that Veda would abandon him like that. He focused all of his frustrations into the battle, but it wasn't enough. Virtue's system suddenly shut off, as the traitor finally used Veda's powers to sabotage the Gundams, ceasing all operations mid-battle. Tieria attempted to reconnect to Veda, but was completely cut off, and thus he fell into despair. Sumeragi ordered the Stand Alone Operation to be activated, which brought back mobility to the Gundams, and they were able to resume combat before getting killed. All except Virtue. Tieria refused to accept the system, and didn't seem to be responding. Tieria came out of his dazed and was horrified to find the Dynames, Lockon's Gundam, in front of him. A beam sword sticking out of it's back. Lockon took the hit to save Tieria. The sorrow and guilt that another Meister was hurt because of him overwhelmed him, and he blacked out.
The Ptolemy crew quickly recovered their Gundams and make a retreat, tending to Lockon wounds and fast as possible. Tieria distanced himself from the other Meisters after this. Sorrow from being abandoned by Veda, guilt over Lockon's injury, and questioning his rights to be a Meister all spiraled in his head. Lockon greeted him, but Tieria couldn't even bring himself to look at the other. Lockon asked him to return to his usual high and mighty self, but Tieria confessed the inner turmoil he had been feeling. Lockon consoled him, saying that they could still go on, and pointed out that Setsuna's drive was a prime example. Tieria apologized to him about what happened, but Lockon shrugged it off, saying that mistakes are what makes them human.
After some reconnaissance missions, a prerecorded message came from Aeolia Schenberg himself, giving them a new, more powerful system. Saying that even though he didn't know whether or not they would carry out the mission to eliminate conflict, he trusted those with the Gundams, and their own wills. This message was triggered by the traitor, as he had just shot Aeolia in his cryogenic sleep.
In the next battle, the UN forced had captured one of the Trinity's Gundams, and blown another down, leaving the third to flee. The UN followed forth and launched an attack on the Ptolemy crew. Tieria, intent on protecting Lockon, locked him in his room, as he was still injured in his main shooting eye. Tieria and Allelujah were able to preemptively keep the enemy at bay, but soon the tide turned against them as the Trinity's old Gundam started tearing into Virtue. Not even the new Trans-Am system could keep them at bay for long. It was then that Lockon burst onto the scene saving his fellow Meisters once more. Tieria tried to get him to go back, worried about his injury, but Lockon wouldn't hear any of it, and dove deeper into combat.
Eventually the enemy forced retreated and all the Gundams returned to the Ptolemy. All the Gundams returned, but not all the Meisters. Lockon was killed in a battle against the man, Ali Al-Saachez, who killed his family, and ruined Setsuna's childhood. The whole crew mourned his death, and Tieria took it especially to heart. He tried to blame Lockon's passing on Setsuna's choice of not being at the battle, but was quickly shut down by Sumeragi.
The Gundams had taken great damage in the last battle, and Virtue wasn't going to be able to launch anytime soon. Instead Tieria worked on setting up Nadleeh for their next push to prove themselves. Allelujah tried to warn Tieria about Nadleeh's low particle supply, but Tieria brushed him off, intent on avenging Lockon's death.
Soon the UN returned and another battle broke out. Tieria tried to conserve his particles in the battle, there ago holding back on the Trans-Am. It was difficult to maintain, but ultimately the enemy forces hit their mother ship. This enraged Tieria, as he made a vow to Lockon to protect the Ptolemy and her crew. Cursing his weakness for holding back, Tieria activated the Trans-Am system and immediately took out three enemy mobile suits. Another beam like the one that hit the ship hit the Nadleeh, severely injuring it. The other mobile suits took this advantage and began to gang up on his Gundam. Tieria swore to fight on, for the sake of the Plan and for his vow. This didn't last long, as soon his machine's head was taken off, along with all it's other limbs. With Tieria's last strength he ejected his GN drive for Celestial Being to recover.
Tieria accepted his death as he drifted aimlessly into space, comforted by the fact that he'd be joining Lockon, where ever he was. The UN declared their operation as a success, having wiped out their mother ship and captured the Winged One, Allelujah. Setsuna and his Gundam were listed Missing In Action after that, as they were unable to locate him. What remained on the crew eventually located Tieria and brought him back, treating his wounds. Over all, Celestial Being suffered a crushing defeat. Sumeragi left the crew, heartbroken from their loss. Tieria and the rest of the crew chose to hide their presence and lay low until they recuperated.
And they laid low till 2312, four whole years later. The change they so sought after did not come, and in fact caused a different conflict. The Earth Sphere Federation began aggressive unification through autonomous force, also known as the A-Laws. Celestial Being kept up an underground resistance, even with Setsuna still missing and Allelujah still held in captivity.
Their informant from four years ago got into contact with them once again and gave them intelligence on one of the A-Laws operations against the Space Colony: Proud. She believed that Setsuna would appear in this battle and advised the broken team to go there and recover their misses pilot.
When he reached Proud, Tieria saw the Gundam Exia's remains fighting the A-Law mobile suits. He never stopped fighting. Tieria launched a volley into the battle and the A-Laws quickly retreated. Tieria greets Setsuna with open arms, and they land in the Proud's airlock to exchange information. During this Tieria met Saji Crossroad, Setsuna's old neighbor. Saji was beyond angry at Celestial Being and pulled Setsuna's gun on him. Tieria didn't know what to do, and watching was all he could do. Ultimately Saji couldn't pull the trigger, and Tieria took the two back to the Ptomely 2, and escorted Saji to the brig, until they knew what to do with him. It was there that Tieria questioned Saji and told him to be greatful for what they've done for him, because without them he would have been killed by the A-Laws. Saji wouldn't have any of it however, and Tieria labeled him blind to the world around him, then challenged him to learn the truth.
They were able to finish Setsuna's new Gundam, the 00, with the return of Exia. With the two Gundams at there disposal, they were able to stave off the A-Law attack, and soon they were rejoined by two more allies. Sumeragi Lee Noriega and, some one new. The younger brother of Lockon Stratos. Tieria refused to greet them, noting that even though this new Lockon looked exactly like the old one, he was nothing like him in character. The task of teaching the new Lockon the basics of the operations fell to Tieria, and almost immediately he hated him. The other's sarcasm and playful nature grated on his nerves.
Their informant Wang Liu Mei gets in contact with the Ptolemy once more to deliver news on a location of a fellow Meister, this time Allelujah Haptism. He was being held in a Federation Anti-Government Detention Facility, and they immediately set out to figure a plan to break their fellow comrade out. Before heading out Tieria notices that the Princess Marina Ismail's name was among those being kept in the facility. He forwarded this information to Setsuna, knowing that four years ago this woman had a special connection to him. Tieria covered Setsuna as he went in and rescued their team mate and the princess. After the snatch and run plan they quickly retreated back the Ptolemy where Tieria greeted Allelujah warmly.
They decided it best that they bring Marina Ismail back to her country of Azadistan, and made that their next mission. The A-Laws opposed them along the way, but with four Gundam Meisters back in action they were able to fend them off. They met up with a resistance group, where they decided that Setsuna would escort the Princess alone from there. They also left Saji in the hands of these men, as he didn't wish to remain with the group that had caused him so much hardship.
Shortly after their take off from the rebellion base they get information that the A-Laws were going to attack the place they just left. They spun around immediately, but were too late. The rebellion group didn't receive them well, since them believed it was Celestial Being that sold them out to the A-Laws. Saji walked back into the base with a haunted look, and Tieria pulled him off to a private hallway. Saji, for all the world, looked like a man wracked with guilt. Tieria asked him what he did, and Saji denied involvement with the A-Laws, but admitted that the location might have been leaked because of him. Tieria, filled with rage, slapped him and chastised him. They felt it best not to leave Saji with the rebellion team, unsure if he'd be safe with them.
During the next battle where they drove the A-Laws off once again, they suffered a loss. Allelujah's mobile suit went down, and they were unable to locate it. Lockon and Tieria were sent out on the search and rescue mission. Tieria spent the whole night out searching for Allelujah until news of his recovery was reported in at sunrise. Relieved, Tieria was about to set out to return to the Ptolemy when an unknown person greeted him. Tieria responded by whipping out his gun and demanding to know how they found him. The mysterious person responded simply "Because we're the same." and the person stepped out, looking exactly like Tieria, only with shorter hair. He explained that they shared the same DNA and introduced himself as Regene Regetta, an Innovator.
This plunges Tieria into confusion, which Regene further adds to it by speaking to him telepathically. He starts explaining how they were capable of this, told him that they don't age due to nano-machines, and that The Innovators were essential to Aeolia's Plan. Tieria was left speechless, and Regene was surprised at the fact that he didn't know any of this. Regene went on to explain that Aeolia's plan had three phases. The first was to unite the world through Celestial Being's armed interventions; Second to unite the world's will through the A-Laws; And finally, to take humanity into space for the dialogues to come. Regene told Tieria with grave seriousness that what Celestial Being was doing was a great hindrance to the plan, going against the A-Laws. Before leaving Regene asked Tieria to consider joining the Innovators, and thusly bring about the right conclusion for the Plan.
Tieria heavily considered Regene's words, even back on the ship. He withdrew into himself in contemplation, and tried to figure out which way was right. It was then that he heard the voice of the late Lockon telling him to take his own path to the plan, and being himself. Tieria was heavily conflicted still, but took Lockon's words into heavy consideration.
Their informant contacts them again saying that important members from the A-Laws were going to be attending a banquet held by the Federation. Wang Liu Mei said that she intended on infiltrating the banquet to scout them out. Tieria, mind on other things, volunteered to go see the top A-Laws himself. Sumeragi agreed to this and sent Setsuna with him as back-up.
Under Sumeragi's strategy, Setsuna and Tieria dawned disguises and attended the party. Setsuna laid low outside, dressed as Tieria's chauffeur, while Tieria cross-dressed as a high class beauty and mingled with upper society. Tieria chatted along with a lot of the guests, trying to remain discreet, noticing a lot of the leaders from the A-Laws, but none of them seeming to be the top brass. After awhile Regene contacted Tieria telepathically to tell him that the one he sought would soon appear. A man approached Tieria, and introduced himself as Ribbons Almark, and requested a dance with him(her). They waltzed in the center of the room as all of the Federation's alleys on looked. There the enemies discussed things in soft tones, trying to puzzle each other out. Ribbons admitted in not having anything to do with Regene's offer, and was offended that Tieria didn't believe that he was the one now acting out Aeolia's Plan. To prove himself Ribbons offered to give Tieria back his rights to Veda, this shocked Tieria and he miss-stepped in the dance, only to be caught by Ribbons.
The dance ended and Ribbons beckoned Tieria to come to a private room where they could speak freely. It was there that Tieria realized that Ribbons was responsible for the force shut down of the Trial System, and that it was he who distributed the power of the Gundam to the UN forces. Ribbons went as far as to tell him that Celestial Being was indeed suppose to be eliminated four years ago. Tieria couldn't believe the words coming out of Ribbon's mouth, and called him on it, saying that he believed that Aeolia trusted the Gundam Meisters, and that he would continue down his path, even if that labeled him a fool. Ribbons turned off the charm and went straight to the sadistic laughter, mocking Tieria for being influenced by inferior humans. Then he went on to verbally tear the late Lockon apart. This puts Tieria over the edge and he pulls a gun on him, only to find himself outnumbered by the Innovators. At the disadvantage, Tieria runs and jumps out the second story window. . . and lands somewhere he doesn't recognize.
Abilities/Additional Notes:
Tieria, being an Innovator, cannot age, and can speak telepathically (through quantum brain waves) with Regene Regetta because they have the same DNA. He is well adapted to the conditions of space, and has great skill in piloting a mobile suit. He is a combat-type Innovator, and is well versed in military tactics on the battlefield in a mobile suit, on the ground he is skilled in fire-arms. He also has great ability in mobile suit engineering, and therefore knows a good amount about technology. He had the ability to connect to Veda with a thought, but that power was stripped away from him by Ribbons Almark.
Sample Journal Post:
[The PCD feed flickers on and off a couple times showing flashes of confused red eyes, and long flowing purple hair. It finally settles on what appears to be a young woman's scrutinizing gaze, it slowly pulls away from their face and they raises the machine towards the sky. Clad in a long red dress, black thigh highs, and broken high heels, sitting prone on the outside ground.]
Sumeragi Lee Noriega, do you read? [the person inclines there head slightly] Ptolemy...?
[Briefly scanning the area, a slight look of fear crosses their face.] I am injured and request immediate pick up.... Don't worry about the Seravee, Setsuna knows it's location.
[The person bites their lip, casting their eyes to the ground.] Shit...
Sample RP:
He saw red. It was one thing to insult him for what he believed in, and another to poke fun at how he became connected to the humans, but to smear Lockon Stratos' name. That went beyond the limit. It didn't matter if Ribbons was the one carrying out Veda's will anymore. Didn't matter that he himself was probably on the wrong side, fighting the wrong battles. It all did not matter. Ribbons had gone too far.
In one swift motion Tieria had drawn out his gun, eyes never leaving Ribbons, as he aimed at his target. He would shut that damnable mouth of his, the filthy scum. Tieria was fast, but the kid in the corner was faster. That's right, the one with the snide smirk, Hiling Care. Just as Tieria brought the gun level with Ribbon's smiling face, Hiling whipped out his own and shot the gun out of Tieria's hands before he had his golden opportunity.
"Damn it all." Tieria's eyes darted around the room. Regene. Ribbons. Hiling. Watching. Laughing. Smirking. He was out numbered, and out gunned. There was no other way. Tactical retreat. Tieria lunged to the ground for his gun, moving with both speed and dexterity considering the heels and dress. Feeling the comfortable weight in his hands he dived for the window.
The roar in his head blocked out all sounds. Were sly words slipping from Regene's lips? Was Ribbons still chuckling to himself? He didn't even know if Hiling was still firing his gun after him. The storm grew to a shattering crescendo as Tieria's body broke through the window. Second story. Twist right. Bend knees. Prepare to roll. He needed to hit the ground running to warn Setsuna. They needed to make it to their Gundams. They needed to escape. They needed to--
He must have miscalculated the distance. The ground had come up much faster that it should have. Or was it he fell too quickly? Either way his right high heel broke on pavement (Pavement? Not grass?), and he went down, skidding. This wasn't good, sharp pain was pulsing through his ankle, and any second the young shooter was going to look out the window and take the perfect shot.
But when Tieria pivoted to look at his assailant, he found no eyes looking back. In fact, the building he just leapt out of wasn't there at all. "What in the world..." He glanced around wildly, wincing from his careless movements, trying to find anything recognizable. "Where..."
Tieira, with eyes still roaming his surroundings, reaching out to find his gun. His hands touched cool metal, instinctively his fingers closed around it. But what he found wasn't his gun. In fact, he didn't recognize it at all, this strange hand held device. Was it something Sumeragi Lee Noriaga planted on him? It wasn't particularly heavy... There was a chance he might not have noticed it before, and it the fall it had gotten knocked loose.
It seemed to be a communication device of some sort...
