The radical queer and trans convergence was this weekend. I have come back from durham with a full heart, a weary body, and a few sex-bruises. The workshops were alright. the "transer-than-thou, constructing trans masculinity" ironically made me feel not trans enough. so many of my lovelies from out of town came, rocket, jojo, texas... and requiem came through which was splendid. they played a show sunday night in raleigh that was so hot and steamy that my camera stopped working and i must have lost 10 pounds to sweat alone! i got to dress up zach (!), and have needed heart-to-heart with steve, and brian spent a while telling me how much he appreciated me being there in that conspiratory way only he can pull off. in short, we're making secret plans incessantly.
the revolutionary dance troupe is nascent- keep a lookout!
ah, and lookout for the finishing of my thesis within the next week... i'll be gettin' crunk and re-emerging from the world. let me know if you want to kick it.
