horizonssing Day 15. You should probably read
Sundown first.
"I am going to kill him and I'll make it stick!" Ianto was fuming as he blasted down the road, far exceeding the speed limit. "Just a simply snatch and grab, shouldn't be a problem; don't worry Ianto, we'll be fine. You just keep taking care of everything here." He slammed the Audi's shifter down into third trying to do a Scandinavian flip around the corner, only to have the all wheel drive system smooth the turn out. Still ranting as he ran the tachometer to the red line before finally shifting into fourth and then quickly to fifth before settling in at 90 miles per hour; he ran the stilted conversation through his head again.
---
Jack was shaken, but trying not to let it be heard in his voice, "listen, it could have been worse. Something ran out onto the road and Gwen swerved to avoid it. She didn't see the lorry coming the other direction or she probably wouldn't have turned into the other lane. We're okay; just some bruises and minor cuts. The SUV's a loss, but we've got the new one so operations won't be affected. Ianto? Do you think you could say something?"
Ianto wanted to say several things. Like what the hell were they doing on the road leaving Tredegar when they were supposed to be headed to Crickhowell? He'd sent the directions to the Navigation system himself. Fastest route, only an hour drive going via Newport up to Abergavenny ending in Crickhowell. It was probably Gwen who decided to take the decidedly slower "scenic" route. Yes, Ianto decided he was going to blame Gwen for this- bloody Gwen and her bloody sentimentality. And we all know what the difference between sentiment and sentimentality is. Bloody swerving to miss some sodding animal on the road is sentiment. Swerving to miss the damn thing and crashing the Torchwood SUV and nearly getting yourselves killed? That's sentimentality! But ever the professional, Ianto checked his temper before speaking in case Jack had the phone volume turned up, or on speaker where Gwen might hear. "Should Martha and I take care of the problem in Crickhowell then? I assume that you and Gwen are at the local A & E or police station?"
Ianto and Martha had made the trip to Crickhowell to discover what was causing random blackouts over most of South Wales. It was nothing more than some teens that had hot-wired a Nintendo Wii with what they thought was an expansion pack, but in reality was the main drive unit for a very small space ship. Every time they powered up the system, it drained the power for miles. A healthy dose of Retcon-laced WKC red (the mere thought of which made Ianto shudder) and they were on their way to retrieve a certain wayward Captain and former police constable. Gwen's text saying Rhys was picking them up was received before they were turning to head for Tredegar; so he and Martha returned to the hub, expecting to find them there.
When they arrived back at the hub finding only Gwen, Ianto counted to twenty before asking where Jack was. Gwen's scratched face was still reddened from the blast of the airbags and her lips were a bit swollen probably somewhat from the impact and more likely snogging the daylights out of Rhys. Ianto mentally had to remind himself that he didn't want to kill Gwen until he had proof that the detour was her idea. "Gwen, where is he?" She looked at him with that sad puppy-dog look that she used to avoid getting in trouble, which only infuriated him more. With his last shred of control he asked again. "Its not a difficult question, nor is it multiple choice Gwen. Where is he!" Ianto hadn't noticed that his hands were balled into fists, or that his knuckles were white from the clenching. But Gwen finally built up the courage to answer him, and appeared to be making preparations to run.
"Ianto love, Jack; well, he decided to stay up in Tredegar. He was hoping that you'd come pick him up after you and Martha returned. Rhys and I offered to bring him back, but he said he had an appointment to keep, and I couldn't expect Rhys to take so much time off work." Gwen continued to ramble on, justifying the destruction of the SUV in favor of a rabbit, to how much nicer the drive was going up the secondary roads rather than the dual carriage ways. Ianto mumbled that it was fine, hoping that he wouldn't suddenly be struck by lightening as he turned to walk down to the medical bay. Gwen probably was miffed by his effective dismissal, but Ianto was in no mood to deal with her.
"Martha, can I borrow one of the hand held medical scanners, I'll return it after I've fetched Jack from whatever his bloody appointment is." Ianto liked Martha, she seemed to understand his reserved nature far better than Gwen, and she didn't always have to know why. Martha smiled, simply nodding before handing the backup scanner to him.
"I'm sure they checked him over at A & E, and we know he always comes back." Martha was trying to reassure Ianto.
"We know he comes back, but what about his passenger?" Ianto looked her directly in the eye, waiting to see if she'd connect the dots. He knew when she had her eureka moment because she gasped and her eyes went wide.
"Oh god! He didn't tell me! That's what Branwen meant? Oh God Ianto, she's! He's? You!" Martha started fumbling over her words, then took a deep breath before continuing. "Give me that back. I'll set the scanner to do what it needs, all you need to do it click the start key. I'll give him a thorough check up when you return. If its bad news, you call me and Tom and I will come up. Neither of you should drive if its bad news." Martha tried to look up out of the medical bay and whispered, "does Gwen know?"
"No, and we're not ready to tell her. Today is definitely not the right day for me to be talking to Mrs. Williams." Ianto claimed the scanner and headed for his car- they would need the SUV here.
---
Ianto came to a skidding halt in the gravel lot of Bedwellty House, not really caring that it caused the grit to fly in every direction. Jack's text said he was here and would wait by the duck pond. Ianto was still fuming by the time he found Jack, feeding ducks that were quacking loudly for the bread he was throwing to them.
"Jack." Ianto walked up behind him with the scanner out ready. From Jack's lack of response, or acknowledgment, he feared the worst; but kept his emotions under control. "I need you to stand up so I can complete the medical scan. Martha pre-configured the test parameters, we'll know in a second."
"You told her." Jack's words were flat.
"I needed the medical scanner. You were in an accident twpsyn, between the compression from the seatbelt and the airbag." Ianto faltered, "just stand up and let me do the scan." Ianto walked around to stand in front of Jack and put his hand out to pull him up. He looked at Jack's face, saw no signs of bruising, scratches or burns like Gwen thanks to his rapid healing, but his eyes were red, and his face was blotchy from crying.
"Well, let's get this over with." Was all Jack could muster. Ianto took a deep breath before pressing 'proceed' on the medical scanner. It was one of Tosh's best designs, and if it did remind him of something from Star Trek, he didn't say it out loud; but he'd always appreciated Tosh's sense of humor when she added the tricorder sound effect since it had annoyed Owen to no end. Ianto couldn't look at the scanner, all he could do was look at Jack and feel the anger begin to well up inside. Jack was always cavalier with own safety, but that needed to change. If Gwen or Martha had been in the same position, Jack would have wrapped them in cotton wool; but when it was himself, that didn't seem to matter. It made Ianto furious, like he didn't matter. Jack still wouldn't make eye contact, even when the scanner reported that it was completed. "Are we going to stand here all day, or are you going to look already." Ianto pulled himself back to reality and was terrified to look at the scanner, but he did. He couldn't stop the sigh of relief from escaping his lips. "I guess I'm forgiven?" Jack quipped; and that was all it took.
Ianto shoved the scanner into his pocket and grabbed the lapels of Jack's great coat and dragged him to the gazebo. He crushed his mouth against Jack's making their teeth clatter together as he bit and sucked at Jack's mouth with little regard. Ianto pushed him to the ground and scrabbled to get Jack's trousers down while still pinning him and staying in control. Every groan and shudder that escaped Jack only fueled Ianto on more until he finally had Jack naked from the waist down, panting and very, very aroused. "Where is it?" Ianto growled as he dug through Jack's coat pockets where he finally found a tube of lube- Jack made jokes about taking the boy scout motto to heart- before pulling the coat off of him and throwing it to the ground. "On your stomach. Now!" Ianto commanded and in a daze, Jack obeyed.
Ianto slapped Jack's buttocks with hard, rapid strikes to each cheek bringing the blood to the surface, raising the temperature and making them blush a bright pink. Jack was groaning with each strike and biting his own bicep to keep from screaming. Ianto reached between Jack's legs and tugged his cock so it stuck directly down and was easily reached, but very trapped. He pushed Jack's shirts up so he could empty the lube into the valley of Jack's back and buttocks which made him arch up from the cold. Ianto pressed hard on Jack to keep it down and slapped his arse again so it was now glowing with heat. He quickly dipped two fingers into the lube and with no preparation or fanfare shoved them both deep into him. Jack tried to launch himself off the ground, but Ianto's arm on his back forced him down as he quickly pushed his fingers in as deep as possible and pushed on Jack's prostate. Jack was squirming under the assault and probably drew blood from his own arm as Ianto gathered more lube and pushed in three fingers without hesitation and quickly ran his thumbnail down Jack's weeping erection.
Before Jack could even partially relax into his fingers, Ianto pulled out and undid his own trousers and quickly rubbed his completely engorged cock in the puddle of lube. Roughly pulling Jack up by his waist, Ianto pressed in to Jack with one swift thrust. The howl that was ripped from Jack's throat travelled through his entire body and straight through Ianto's currently buried cock. Ianto had to hold fast to Jack's hips, leaving fingertip bruises, to keep Jack from bucking or moving. Once Ianto felt he had himself under control he began a relentless pace of pounding in and out of Jack's body; pulling almost completely out before pressing all the way in until his balls were squeezed tight between their bodies. He scratched his blunt nails down Jack's back, watching the welts quickly form then fade while randomly slapping Jack's still heated buttocks. "You will never do something that stupid again!" Ianto gasped while battering into Jack, "you'll follow the damn directions! And you won't!" He pressed in all the way and slapped at the same time, "let Gwen," he pulled out and leaned down to cover Jack's back before slamming back in, "drive!" As he shouted, Ianto felt himself climax inside Jack and he bit down hard on Jack's shoulder.
The sensory overload, of his stinging arse, the punishing pace and the sharp pain of the bite all blended with the feeling of Ianto coming, and caused Jack to collapse onto his elbows as he his own orgasm caught him by surprise. Ianto didn't unclench his teeth, and continued to work with the rhythm of Jack's orgasm milking every last shudder from them both before Jack finally couldn't support them and collapsed to the ground.
Ianto wasn't sure how much time had elapsed, but he finally felt his own softening penis slowly slide from Jack with a wash of lube and semen. Jack's whimper was less from pain and more from the lost connection. Ianto felt something funny in his mouth and pulled a small piece of pale blue fabric from between his teeth. He looked in horror at the hole he'd torn in Jack's shirt from biting him, but he wasn't too upset to see the angry red-purple bite marks. Ianto pulled Jack over carefully to look him in the face and was surprised to see a smile and eyes that had freshly shed tears. "I didn't hurt you, did I." Ianto stammered at Jack's expression.
"No. No more than I deserved for scaring you." Jack rested his head against Ianto, "I didn't know you cared that much."
"Of course I care! I love you, you damned idiot! I asked you to marry me for Christ's sake! And oh yeah- that's my bloody kid you're baking in there!" Ianto could feel his anger beginning to boil again but was short circuited by Jack wildly kissing and sucking at his mouth. "What was that for?"
"For loving me enough to get angry." Jack kissed him again, "and giving me hell for doing something stupid."
Ianto sat up, and began pulling his trousers into place, "well someone needs to keep you in line." Ianto helped Jack back into his clothes and held the great coat up for him. "We'd better be heading back now, I need to call Martha to let her know we're okay. She didn't want us driving if it was bad news." Ianto looked into Jack's eyes and continued, "you have an appointment with Doctor Jones when we get back, your prenatal care has been sadly lacking. Ianto reached out and laced his fingers with Jack's and started walking to the parking lot.
"As they reached Ianto's car, Jack looked back at the house. "This is a nice place, how about we get married here?" Ianto looked at him, the inevitable eyebrow rising.
"No." Was Ianto's short answer.
"What, not grand enough for you? Are we going into debt for our nuptial's Mister Jones? Come to think of it, since you asked me, don't I get to pick the venue?" Jack smiled back.
"We're going to do a simple ceremony then have brunch at the hotel overlooking the bay. Small, quiet and plenty for me." Ianto looked him squarely in the eye, "now get in the car, we've got a slow drive ahead of us."
As they were approaching the hub, Jack finally spoke up, "Ianto, do you think that maybe instead of fighting in the future, we just have really angry sex? I mean, that was, well, let's just say it ranked in the top 5." He leered at Ianto from the passenger seat.
"We can negotiate later. Right now, I want you to approve my punishment of Gwen and her latest stupidity. And no, she doesn't get angry sex." Ianto looked at Jack, who simply clicked his mouth shut and smiled. "She wasted time by ignoring the proper route and she put the welfare of a damn rodent above yours. If she wants to go through life with the survival instincts of a lemming, that's her business; but she's not going to do it with our lives or Torchwood's property."
Jack had to stifle a laugh at the description, "what do you have in mind?"
"Since she cares so much about the well being of others, she should take full-time responsibility for the care and feeding of our captive weevil population. If she's so concerned about protecting wildlife that she'd rather destroy our SUV than squish a rabbit, then obviously she can spare some compassion for our unfortunate aliens." Ianto just looked at Jack, expecting him to say no; but only received a hysterical fit of laughter in return.
With tears running from his eyes, Jack gasped for breath before asking, "do you think she'll get Janet to talk about her feelings?"
