So, yeah. Not been posting recently. I had restorative back surgery last Monday and it went very well. They removed a bunch of surgical wire and some pins that had braced a couple of vertebrae that were damaged in an automobile accident several years ago. The new scar is actually inside the old scar, so when that's all healed it should look really interesting. But life is decent (if wet) in a Duragesic-induced fog and have I mentioned how much I appreciate Percocet?
On the I-hate-December front, I lost both of my old, old dogs right before going in for surgery. The old man would have turned 17 the day I had surgery and the evil witch would have been 16 on New Year's Eve. He just gave out and died in his sleep, but I had to have her euthanized because she was in pain from cancer and I didn't want to make her suffer any longer. It really has made the house very, very quiet not having any dogs around. Now I'm sure to be voted most likely to become a serial killer by my neighbors.
Needless to say, I am officially listing the back surgery as the only knife wounds allowed for 2009 because I have no intention of being nice and helping anyone this time because I'll be damned if I'm going to get stabbed at a soup kitchen again!
Merry Fucking Christmas and all that. Is this year over yet?
clarify: This back surgery was very fast and went well. I was actually up and walking the next morning. For the rant regarding Christmas 2008, read
Everyone can suck it.
