As much as I love Sid the Kid, I know this sounds wrong and ridiculous, but nowadays I cannot like him as much as I used to because now everyone and their mommas all love him to death and worship him to the ground like he's some hockey god. For goodness sakes he's only human being. He's an excellent player and everything, but there are other hockey players out there who are just as talented as he is who deserve as much recognition as him. Even my Kings posts get overshadowed by the whole Crosbyness.

Yes, I am a Penguins fan, but I didn't necessarily become one because of him. I've been a Pens fan for many years (since the days when Lemieux, Jagr, Francis, Wregget, Barrasso, Slegr, Straka, the old school players from the mid-late 90's) . Yes, I have to admit that I did vote for him and it's no surprise that he'd get the most votes and nomination.

Like Daveen said, this whole Crosby-ness is getting overwhelming. Even I can't keep up with him anymore because of all the hype, and after a while it does start to get old (the only player I never get sick of hearing or even meeting is Mike Cammalleri, but that's just me).

Crosby-madness or not, I still love IWP. I thank you for even creating this place in the first place.
