After codeing in perl for too long, I find it hard to switch back to almost anything else. Perl is the crack-cocaine of programming languages, the first hits free its very effective and it keeps you coming back and when you try and stop its so hard. I keep on finding my self thinking in perlish mannerisms when I'm trying to code scheme, C++, or even (ugh)Java. Note to self: keep self from going crazy.
So we went out drinking last night, which was extremely classy.
My portable hard drive has started to make funny sounds (again) which does not suggest it will be functioning for much longer :-)
I've got to decide between getting:
1) Another external hard drive (which I will use to back it up with)
2) A cheap computer (which I'll store the backup on)
3) Hopeing for the best
I've decided to try and resurrect my ipaq and update to the latest linux version from handhelds.org sometime soon.
Tommorow were going to try and work from 7 to 1130 with a break to for lunch with cool people (and hopefully tastey food).
I still have to do the CS246 assignment (so booring). I'm going to practice my template (as in the physical one) skills for the midterm and hope that works out :-)
