Good & Bad at the same time
Last night I found a lot of php code which does a lot of a project I've been working on (under an acceptable license). This is good; because it means I can use it and develope a lot faster. This is bad, because I wanted to do the project in scheme; but I can't really affoard to pass up all of this free code (espicially since it doesn't suck that much, at least not at first glance) and I'm pretty far behind schedual (stupid portable hard-drive).
I think I'm going to try and do the front end of ssc in scheme (because I really want to play around with contiuations).
On my way into work today I dropped my beer at the bus stop, so it broke fairly badly. Fortunitly there were still 4 good bottles :-)
Sometime in the next fow months, if we ever manage to get this project finished, I'm going to have to choose between upgrading my old server and buying a new one.
