its starting :)
So a lot of stuff has happened today. I once again managed to sleep in quite late (for the win), but I'm thinking that this will be my last day of total leisure and no work for a bit. My grandparents (on my mother sides) came over for dinner this evening which was a lot of fun.
I've started poking at some of my business stuff. John Cullen (the UW Enterprise Co-Op guy) recommended that I get some free resources put out by RBC on how to do sales,marketing, and other basic things for small business. While its largely stuff I'd imagine would be in an "Dummies guide to business" its rather useful (which gives you an idea how little I know about this). There are a few people in Ottawa who I figure I might as well talk to while I'm up here and see if I can get any advice. Which reminds me, I need to find a mentor for the purposes of UW Enterprise Co-Op and write a business action learning plan by the end of the month. I've also got to remember to fax my stuff to google while I'm at home (yay physical fax machine!). As part of my UW Enterprise agreement I have to keep rough track of my schedule, and for my sanity I probably need a better scheduling/todo system than my present one (of hoping I or someone around me remembers). I'm thinking of maybe google calendar and something like the schedulator along with bugzilla (since I need a proper bug tracking system anyways). Life is going to be busy but fun :)
On the super positive I didn't fail stats (despite getting a 42 on quest when I e-mailed the prof he said something along the lines of "oops I forgot to enter your midterm mark, you pass I'll fix it in a bit"). I haven't gotten anything else back for my other courses. So if you fail any classes it might be worth a quick e-mail to the prof asking what your marks were and to look at your final, you might have actually passed.
I feel kind of wierd being away from my computer so much, I have this compulsion to go and check my e-mail :)I've got a dentist appointment tomorrow, which is probably going to be less than total fun, but such is life.
