Went out to a watpub last night, much drinking. I had a drunken conversation with someone trying to parse fortran
code. It was a few peoples last night in town, so a bit more drinking than perhaps is usual.
I did manage to get some work done before drinking [fixed paginate, got pound & mongrel setup]. Still
quite a few things I need to fix up, but hopefully this weekend I can fix up the rest of the bugs. After I get the
alpha version out the door, I think I'll take a look at a few alternatives to ocaml (namely txl, haskell).Ocaml is
pretty awesome, but if I can get work done faster in txl or haskell (or something else) then that seems like a good
idea.
Another thing that is tempting, are one of the many commercial toolkits which are essentially a collection of front ends, but the lack of readily available pricing information suggests that they are probably beyond my budget and I'm not convinced they are any better than the publicly available frontends.
On the not so classy notes, I noticed the lexer generator I'm presently using breaks with utf-8, so I'm going to
have to replace it and re-run the DB build.
Only 2 more days :)
