I owe you a post, don't I.
My posts are far too long. I apologize. To make it better, I will include pictures!
Let's start at last Friday. I don't have school on fridays. I see you
are all green with envy (or perhaps it is another homunculus). So, I
awoke and had an easy day, played a little piano, dillyed and dallyed
til midafternoon. I went over to the MAlice residence. Once
isogon; arrived, we headed for Milwaukee. We got lost
numerous times where 94 and 41 merge. I think it is perhaps the third
time I have gotten lost there. The last time being when Alice and I
went to the Bristol Rennaissance Faire earlier this fall. We arrived in
Shady Milwaukee after listening to "Spider" by They Might Be Giants on
repeat (It was our "getting lost" music). The Holiday Folk Faire (our
Milwaukee excursion) was interesting with trinkets to see and ethnic
food to eat. There were pretty people dressed in pretty outfits. Though
so many looked wonderfully awkward in traditional dress. Seeing the
ethnic dancing was the best. (Except for a pretty Polynesian girl with
gyrating hips).
(I only posted this one, because it one of my favorite
pictures of my brother and yours truly. Well, our feet anyway. We are
laying on our backs and trying to put your bodies straight up balancing
on your neck. We were helping prepare for a party thrown by the MAlice.
Well, helping in the loose sense of the word.)
We rushed back to attend a late late showing of Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire. We managed to get terribly lost....again, and then more
so, whilst searching for a parking spot on the North Side. I enjoyed
the movie immensely, it was the best movie yet, but still doesn't touch
the book. That is all the reviewing I will do here. I came home to find
a party going on in my place, I feel asleep at 6, after talking with a
boy for hours. Simon came in to tell me how much said boy was crushing
on me.
I awoke Saturday and felt supremely blah. That is the only way
I can explain it. I had no energy and drifted in and out of sleep all
day. I was supposed to be catching up on a massive semester project due
for the damn Honors College. I still haven't started. I awoke and Sonal
came and taught me how to dance Indian style. Then Sonal, Myself and
another close friend attended the Diwali Garba on campus. A Garba is a
big indian dance party, they form concentric circles and develop
different styles or variations of dance, and they dance their hearts
out to wonderful indian music. I learned Garba, Raas, and Bhungra. I
got to hang out with beautifully clad Indian women all night, followed
by a trip to Greektown. I meet a few friends at the Garba including two
old friends from high school, Arpan and Nandan, and Ronak, my brother's
former roommate. It was a wonderful wonderful night. (I did dress in
traditional dress)
Sunday, I awoke and pondered my inability to complete anything on the
weekends, followed by pondering my inability to complete anything
during the week. I then attended an Ultimate Frisbee Clinic for 5
hours. My body was beautifully scraped up by the end of it. I came home
and relaxed. I went out for dinner with Sonal and Shilpa at Thai Bowl.
(I had frisbee pics from this weekend, but they won't
post for some damn reason, so this one is after the first day in
Winona, I dressed as a Ninja Turtle for Halloween)
Today, I awoke and attended my one class. Instead of achieving things,
I went out afterwards and got iced chais and brownies with an adorable
Egyptian friend of mine. Afterward, I came home and Simon (the
roommate) taught me every form of Latin dance in existence. Now, all I
need is practice. It has been a truly wonderful weekend. I only
apologize for not updating more often with less amounts. Things are
always better fresh, especially posts.
If my posts continue this long, I might learn
_monroe_'s technique, in which she spouts little blurbs of
adjectives and nouns to give you the perfect picture of her day. It
would make everyone's life a little easier. I obsess with my complete
sentences.
How do you put up with these posts?
