As Clifford is offered a new job, Louise turns up at his office and tells him she's left Alex. Later, when Clifford reveals he's told Alex all about their affair, Louise reveals that she doesn't know what she wants.
Having now decided to leave Holby, Clifford meets Maddy after work. But as they talk, a hopeful Maddy realises that he doesn't love her and she tearfully watches him drive away...
