Feb 28, 2007 08:25

Since no one has asked for an extension, then today is the day! We're going to go with a 72 hour window here, so if you aren't quite done, or need a little bit more time to get your story ready for posting, you can do it anytime over the next three days ( Read more... )

I have lots of bits and pieces which are not coming together into a story. Someday it might, but my mind has been on strike for over a year when it comes to writing. Never dreamed blockage could last so long, and have no idea how to get it to go away. Will enjoy posting, but wonder if a two year extension would be of any help.

I think it would be nice to do another one. How about the Dan/Methos meets another immortal plot we were cogitating?

I hate bringing this up, but I can't stop thinking about it: do we need to be concerned about the BBC and fan fic? For all our poking fun at the powers that be of Highlander, they have almost always kindly looked the other way, and so we may have become a bit complacent.

Considering how much Dr. Who and Torchwood fanfic/fanfic comms are aout there, I wouldn't think any more so than the usual.

More challenges would be fun too! [makes note]

As Ith says, don't worry too much about Auntie Beeb! It would be hypocritical of them to stamp down on the small amount of Holby fic there is - along with other random shows - considering the monster Doctor Who/Torchwood communities. Even Life on Mars has a larger following, but I haven't heard anything about a crackdown - if anything they seem to be wallowing in it :)

Mine is still floating in the back of my brain, but considering how much the other epic(s) have been taking over my brain (you know, the one I've been posting snippets of) GOK when it's going to be written.

Will you take a 'whenever' deadline? :)

I'll add it next to the two year extension [g]

If we keep the comm going, there's really no reason that you slackers those of you aren't done yet can't post your stories as you finish them :)

Have a story... Being fairly new to this LJ stuff, and not exactly over the moon with it, how the heck do I post a link on your site? Or do you want to do it?

It's on http://lilywolfe.livejournal.com/
"Flight to Barbados"

It's not exactly a prize, but for a mind that's been eseentially dormant for the past couple of years, it's better than nothing...

If you click this link http://www.livejournal.com/update.bml?usejournal=holbycitylounge

it'll take you to a posting template just like on your own LJ.

Just post esentially what you put in this comment, with the title of the story in the subject, and you should be set.
