acquaintance

The word of the day. It's how I feel.

I look at a lot of the people here on Livejournal and I notice that who I consider to be friends are really just acquaintances. To actually be friends, you have to hangout more often then once a year. You need to be able to communicate with them on a more frequent basis rather then annually. You have to know many things about that person, be it a troubling memory or a happy one. Reflecting on only one instance just means you aren't friends, but just acquainted. Time also plays a factor into this. One day you might hangout with the people you thought to be friends, but over time circumstances and events will occur where you won't be contacting or hanging out with them as frequent and most times resulting in a complete haul on friendship. Those who you thought knew you or you knew have changed and whether you decide to accomidate to their change or not is the deciding factor to where you want this friendship to stand.

Over my years and years of hanging out everyday and meeting new people, it's occured to me after some time that some people I once thought were friends are nothing more than acquaintances now. It's also wierd that the people I once considered acquaintances have somewhat begun to become friends.

Alright, that's my wierd take on the word of the day. I dunno if people even read my 2 cents so peace.
