2010, my final thoughts
2010- good year or bad?
There were a lot of good things to come out of it. I completed my first year at St. John's and made dean's list. I made new friends, both irl and on the internet. I listened to a lot of new music, both recently released such as iamamiwhoami and M.I.A. and what we would consider "old" music such as The Smiths. I continued learning Japanese at the Japan Society, where I became a member. I lost some weight. I got a new car. I went to a few concerts, including Rammstein and Flogging Molly. I came, I trolled, I lol'd.
There were also some bad things. My St. John's Japanese professor was the most evil bitch on the planet. I never found another job, and I'm still stuck at my shitty one. I loathe and despise the new general manager. I gained weight (though I eventually lost it). I met some pretty annoying and detestable people and even made a few enemies. The car I got seems to break every month since we got it. I had one hell of a quarter-life crises that I think I'm finally starting to move on from.
Overall, I'd say I had a pretty so-so year. There was nothing outweighing this year. With 365 1/4 days in the year, a lot can happen. But it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
So here's to 2011 being a good year! May I graduate on time, get to travel to Ireland like my family wants us to, and may I get into the JET Program so I can start paying back my loans lol.
