So yesterday started off great. Andrew and I went to the New York Comic Con. I met Colin Baker at the Doctor Who booth (who was very nice). We had split up in short intervals so we could shop in peace without dragging the other every which way. I bought my dad a Doctor Who original logo and a UNIT ID badge of the Fourth Doctor, which he'll be paying me back. I also bought two Firefly ID badges, a Fruity Oaty Bar shirt, a Buffy graphic novel, Firefly graphic novel, The Runaways by Joss (the description is really interesting, so I'm giving it a try), and the Firefly soundtrack. I heard from one of the dealers that Joss Whedon was supposed to be hanging out that day. I looked, but he was nowhere to be seen. We left around 6-ish, since since we were both pretty tired.
I got home and I hung out with dad for awhile. Ray and his friend, Red, were there before they left, stating that they were going to get a key to his father's place of work and drop something off. My mother, in one of her moods, thought they were going to go inside and cause mischief, get arrested, etc.
So, she called Red's mother and told her, even though we said that she shouldn't even get involved. She told us to not tell Ray that she called. Needless to say, they never went inside and my mom caused all this unecesessary shit. Red's mother told him that my mom called, and she denied it. She got my dad worked up and when he yelled at her, she kicked him in his bad foot, which has been so swollen that he's been using a cane on and off.
I told Ray, and he bugged out, and my mom called me a piece of shit, which I let roll right off me. Then (here's the killer), she tried to say that Red's mom called her, which we knew was bull. She tried to turn all her frustration on my dad and cried about how he "treated her," and almost hit him in the face, but the lamp caught most of it. Fortunately, she fell asleep about five minutes later.
Whatever.
My mom hasn't spoken to any of us today, and that's okay. She can't admit she was wrong and that's her problem. I also don't forgive her for calling me a piece of shit and attacking dad. She can apologize when she's ready.
I'm also sick; the sudden change of weather fucked me up, and now I have a sore throat and a running/clogged nose. I have homework to do, but I'm feeling wicked lazy at the moment. Also, Andrew and I watched "North and South" on Thursday and adored it completely.
I'm going to write fan fiction instead. Bye.
