Doing some cleaning, I found again something I had totally forgoten!!
A wooden tablet with japanes characters burned in it, that I discovered at sea, many years ago.
I remember trying to imagine what kind of ship it was from, or who wrote that and why... It felt like discovering something precious ^^
But at that time I couldn't read the inscriptions. Here they are:
航海安全 すきやんこまんだー
The beginning means something like: "safe voyage".
I think こまんだー is probably for "commander" (although it's surprising it were written in hiragana)
It can mean "Have a safe voyage, we love you commander" or "Have a safe voyage, beloved commander." ?
What do you think?
If that's the correct meaning, I thought it can be a message trown at sea for a deceased commander.
If that's the case it's a bit morbid maybe, sorry XD
But I was quite proud of this piece of wood, I'm glad I found it again~~
