MARATHON INFINITY: COMPLETED. And now I'm sad because I'm finished, also because the last terminal is from a Durandal/S'pht AI hybrid and says "[we] release what little hold we might, as Durandal, have had on your soul. Go" and I'm like BUT DURANDAL D: I DON'T WANT YOU TO RELEASE THE HOLD YOU HAVE ON MY SOUL I WANT TO GO JOYRIDING AROUND THE UNIVERSE LOOKING FOR JJARO TECHNOLOGY WITH YOU DDDDDDD: DON'T LEAVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEE, I knew the ending of this game messed with my happy Marathon 2 ending headcanon, ahhhhhhhh my poor heart.
Also, for the record, Tfear is the worst boss, Tycho is the second worst boss, Leela is pretty okay even if she gets upset that you let too many civilians die, Thoth is just kind of - there. And confusing. Durandal is the best one to work for, because he knows that the way to a girl's heart is a giant cache of shotgun shells and a self-replenishing supply of rockets. :D
... well, time to go download third-party scenarios I guess! Although I am also tempted to replay Infinity and see if I can actually get to the levels I missed this time, but - not very tempted, because parts of that game are hard. And I kind of have other things I ought to be doing, like writing Durandal/cyborg love epics my Yuletide fic.
