It's not that I didn't have manga feelings yesterday, it's that I tried to bury them under my ongoing Red vs. Blue marathon rewatch. D:
HOLY FUCK, OBITO. Just - HOLY FUCK. Baby, I know you're upset and that's fully understandable considering what just happened, but multiple gigantic tree spikes filled with the crushed and dismembered bodies of Mist-nin dripping pools of blood might be just a little overkill. Juuuuuuuust a little.
Also thanks for jossing me, Kishimoto, you asshole. I HAD A WHOLE LITTLE SCENE WRITTEN WITH KAKASHI AND ITACHI TRYING TO ACTIVATE KAKASHI'S MANGEKYOU AND POOF, JOSSED. Well, you know what, Kishimoto? I AM GOING WITH TOBIDARA FOR THE AU NOW SO SUCK IT. Argh, I really didn't want to do that because I wanted to stick to canon as much as possible for, you know, an AU, but I just - look, I just wanted to write a story where Itachi and Sasuke could punch out their problems and still both live through it, you know? And I've already ended up writing way more plot and action (mostly action) than I had realized I was signing up for when I started this fic, and let's be honest, if I try to split up the climax between Kakashi and Tobito hashing their backstory out while Itachi and Sasuke deal with their shit, probably neither of them are going to be particularly satisfactory because of the POV, which it is way too late to change when I've hit the 100k mark. So whatever, Tobi in the AU is Madara and I'll write Tobito in some other fic where I can do it justice. *cough eventual sequel to "The Chase" cough* Now I just - have to get back to work on the AU and also work out some way to make Tobidara make sense given current information...
Kakashi, WHY DIDN'T YOU EVER USE YOUR MANGEKYOU BEFORE THE TIMESKIP. Argh. As someone on FFA pointed out, there seem to be a lot of choices in the manga recently to sacrifice continuity/timeline stuff for the sake of awesome art and layout opportunities, which - okay, this chapter was pretty stunning, if bloody, but ARGH.

Well - farewell, Yamamoto. DDDDDDDDD: IT WAS CUTE SEEING BABY SHUNSUI, but - not worth those sliced-up Yamamoto visuals. Eek. Also goddamnit IS KENPACHI STILL ALIVE I NEED TO KNOW IF I CAN RAGEQUIT THIS MANGA YET OR NOT.
Three bucks the explosion is Ichigo and he'll get his ass kicked, but non-fatally. Le sigh.
... I would like to say that at least Red vs. Blue never gives me these kinds of feelings, but then I remember Agent Washington and OOPS ALL MY FEELINGS. I made it to season 5 today and the bonus disc that came with it has the Recovery One miniseries and I might have kind of made an embarrassing noise because WASH ♥ . I mean, I have feelings about everyone else too which rewatching the early seasons has made abundantly clear (OH TEX MY LOVE, oh Donut, OH CABOOSE YOU PRECIOUS DUMBFUCK), but Wash has a special place in my heart because - I don't know, he's probably the first person to show up in the series and not call someone else a cockbite? Besides Caboose. I - I have very low standards for this series, okay. (BUT ALSO WASH IS GENUINELY AWESOME and I forgot about what happened with his AI, holy crap I need to go look for angsty fic pronto.)
