(no subject)
So, this weekend I went down with my parents to the family farm to have a family and friends picnic! It was disgustingly hot and there was a bit of rain, but overall it was a fun experience, involving many stories told about people my mother and her friends knew in high school doing horrifying things with cars.
But the important part is, I went to see The Dark Knight Rises after we got back.
BANE/TALIA. Because MY NARRATIVE KINKS, okay. Tiny innocent-but-not-really child growing up in hell and the loyal-unto-death hulking villain who protects them? Yes please direct me to ALL OF THE FIC now. Admittedly I generally prefer the kid to be a pretty boy and I didn't think I would like this in a het pairing, but I guess when the child grows up to be Marion Cotillard there is just nothing to be done. SHIPPING IT SO HARD. FOR REAL.
I liked Anne Hathaway! She was good. And Christian Bale's Batvoice is still hilarious. I teared up when Alfred did and I ain't even bothered, who can watch Michael Caine cry and not want to cry themselves?
Overall, I loved the hell out of it. And I would like to go see it again. :D
