(no subject)
Today my boss gave me a very belated Christmas present - a gorgeous 1906 edition of Milton's Comus with illustrations by Jessie King, in this amazing gilt-stamped red leather binding that is just - unf, it's incredible.
My job has good perks some days.
11) Have you ever sold a doll?
Sadly, I have. ... even more sadly, probably not as many as I should have, heh. I FALL IN LOVE TOO EASILY, I SUPPOSE.
The dearly departed:
Tetsuya, take one, a K-Doll Karon on a Domuya flexibody (no, the resin did not match). He was very lovely, but he just never seemed to really settle as Tetsuya, and then the Souldoll Kanguk was released and I was like WHOOPS DON'T NEED YOU ANYMORE KANGUK WILL BE PERFECT, so I sold him with the intent of using the profits towards a Kanguk.
... yeah I still don't have a Kanguk, I don't remember where all the money went but I think possibly towards Aubrey. Now I sort of wish I'd kept him as a different character, just because I still love the Karon sculpt, but oh well.
Tiny Fox Chelidon, a DZ event gift fox. He was very cute, but since I got him initially to be Chelidon until I could get giant-Chelidon, and I bought giant-Chelidon - uh - years ahead of schedule due to Dollshe deciding to shut down to come up with whole new bodies (which creep me out, am so glad I bought him when I did), he had to go. Plus his size was just kind of awkward. But he has a good home now with my friend yuuago!
Belladon, a DZ Fei. I did not actually sell him, though - I gave him to my BFF kisekinotenshi, and he made her day. ♥ She eventually sold him because MSDs are just not her size, but that is A-OK! I hope he is making his latest owner happy, whoever that is. XD
Sef Alloran, a blue Bobobie Weylin. He was so pretty and blue, but he just never clicked, plus he was floppy as a rag doll and difficult to pose (very huggable, though!). So now he lives with my buddy lemone.
