Wow, I just seem to get worse and worse at posting... D: ANYWAY, I have successfully graduated, with no problems except losing my first mortarboard to the lake and my mom having to run back and get another one so I didn't go up bare-headed. (Mom told me that when she asked for another hat, the people with the hired gowns said they'd been taking bets on how many hats the wind and the lake would claim, which made me feel better about the whole business.) Then we had a nice couple of days running about York, being very cold, and went up to Durham to see the cathedral there for the - oh, second time for my mom, fourth time for me, obviously the first time for the friend of my mother's who came with us. Not that I minded going to Durham again, really, except I'd forgotten my rail pass and didn't get any train discounts. And also our timing was really bad, the treasury was closed and so was the monks' loft with all the amazing stonework. CURSES. But the cathedral remains stunning (as does York Minster), so - you know - worth it. ♥
Then we came back and I was tired and have been working and catching up on shows and etc., very exciting. XD I have been gradually getting more confident with applying shoe polish to leather bindings when appropriate, and although I tend to end up with shoe polish all over my hands, it's a rather soothing activity. Plus today I figured out that the shoe polish is actually supposed to turn shiny when you have applied it and buffed it right. THE MORE YOU KNOW! Wish I had figured it out while I was applying all that black shoe polish to the Gesangbuch, though.
