Books 22 and 24 of the Iliad are my least favorite because they are the saddest, do not lie, you know it to be true. Patroklos's death is sad too, but not as sad because he doesn't have a wife and a baby and his parents are far away and also he doesn't get dragged around in the dirt on his face because THE TROJANS ARE NOT GIGANTIC WADS OF DISRESPECTFUL EARWIG SPIT LIKE SOME PEOPLE, ACHILLEUS.
At least I got a bit ahead in the reading today by accident (and skipping the last two sentences of the not-to-be-turned-in Latin homework, but - not to be turned in so whatever!), and Priam yelling at his sons for being a bunch of useless shameful people who can't get the goddamn mules hitched up to the car fast enough is kind of funny, in an awful way.
I don't know, it's grey outside and I am sad and I just want to have some free-brain time that I know I won't get.
