There are certain advantages to having pets who must be fed early in the morning, and one of those advantages is being able to sign up as 87th in the queue for the Archive of Our Own open beta and, four hours later, wake up properly to a shiny new invite email. :D
I'm probably going to use this account mainly for backup (especially of terrible old crap that survives only on my hard drive) and for more accessible versions of certain fics (especially ones that have a lot of funny formatting), but don't worry, everything fanficcy will still go up at brief_transit, too.
Feeding animals also helped me get up at my usual time for classes yesterday; unfortunately, upon reaching campus I realized I didn't actually have enough homework left that I needed to be on campus that early, so. *facepalm* Oh well...
