Oh man, today was SO NICE. Still on the cool side, but not bitterly cold, and there was sunlight ALL DAY. I love York in the sunlight; the Minster glows, the green bits are all lit up and flowery (we have crocuses and daffodils and snowdrops in bloom, plus some sort of bush that grows outside King's Manor and smells like heaven on earth), and everything just seems lovelier. I know that I must have accomplished some small amount of things over this winter, but last week and this one have really felt like coming out of hibernation in terms of just having energy and making real progress...
Anyway, thesis-wise I didn't get a lot done today, but I have finished editing book 2 and gotten the introduction to the edition over 2,000 words, which were my designated goals for next meeting! And I did go ahead and go through book 3 setting all the quotes from Isaiah apart, so that's a little less I have to do when I start properly editing it tomorrow. Besides, today I needed to have feelings about Gravity Falls and Steven Universe, okay.
Steven Universe: OH MY GODS MY PRECIOUS BABY PEARL ;o; SHE'S SO SAD AND SO LOYAL AND WAS SO IN LOVE WITH ROSE QUARTZ, SERIOUSLY, WAS ROSE QUARTZ LIVING IN A FOURSOME MARRIAGE WITH GARNET AND PEARL AND AMETHYST PRIOR TO MEETING GREG? Because I approve, but my heart is also sad as hell. This week is going to be emotionally difficult, I can tell already.
Gravity Falls: HAHA HOLY FUCK THE TWINS THEORY WAS REAL! It was so cool but still a long shot BUT IT'S WHAT HAPPENED! AWESOME. But also most of the rest of the episode stomped on my heart, because the adorable illegal fireworks and water balloons scene was SO GREAT and then Mabel and Dipper finding out that Grunkle Stan had been lying to them all summer was so heartbreaking. And the stargate thing and the anomalies it caused were terrifying.
HOW LONG TILL NEXT EPISODE? I NEED NEXT EPISODE.
