I finished Bioshock 2 and it was fantastic! I HAVE MANY FATHERLY FEELINGS ABOUT ELEANOR, LET ME TELL YOU. ... well, okay, I won't tell you at this very moment, but rest assured, I have them.

Anyway I am going back to York tomorrow, so shall be out of touch for the next couple of days due to transit. I eagerly await the invention of teleporters; as it is I am having a case of nerves for no particular reason about this trip and in truth am heartily sick of travel in general, since I think I have seen enough airports to last me a good four or five years by this point and have been going back and forth between the new home and the old all this past month, a trip of some three and a half hours each way, and you may blame this entirely too long sentence on Victor Hugo because I started reading Les Miserables. The same kind of thing happens when I read The Count of Monte Cristo or Moby Dick or even Lord of the Rings, really, it is unconscionable.

At any rate I can't see why I should dread being back in York, since in fact it will be nice to be entirely in charge of my own meals and schedule again and be able to resume watching Stargate and so on (and it isn't as if I procrastinate on thesis work any less there than here), so I can only assume that I am nervous about the trip itself. Or having a temporary attack of grad school panic along the lines of "FUCK IT ALL I WILL RUN AWAY AND BECOME A SIMPLE GOATHERD/OCCASIONAL BOOKSTORE ASSISTANT." (Our goats do not require any herding, actually, but I have been somewhat useful at the store, so...)
