This Weekend (plus monday)
So yea, this weekend was pretty taxing....First I went to a fencing tournament, that was quite fun, we went to Alexander's Fencing Academy in Indy. There were plenty of good fencers to learn from, and learn I did! Two things to remember:
- Don't lift your arm in Prep....you lose right of way
- My footwork sucks.....
Now, that ended at midnight, and then I drove home to Frankfort. I got to see my parents, and grandparents, and sleep in my nice new Queen sized bed...that was enjoyable, except I had a weird dream where I was in a Hotel with everyone from 2nd floor. Things were going good, until we decided to eat dinner....then Callie found a cockroach, which I felt the need to kill, but it continued to grow larger, and larger, until it was almost Kafka-esque...then I killed it, but cutting off it's head with a knife. Anyway, then I came back to Bloomington, and gave Suzie a tour (including Mother Bear's and the Business School). Finally I played living Greyhawk for a while saturday night.
Then it happened....sunday I woke up with a hangover....which is weird, cause I don't drink....Sunday went alright, but then I had the same thing monday. I called my Dad who told me I needed to be checked out at the Medcenter...so I went there and got checked out. I really really hated it though, I had to miss a class yesterday. It was entirely unlike me....I hate to admit weakness, unless it is constructive, and sickness is not constructive. I probably would have continued on, just pretending to be strong, but Erin was kind enough to MAKE me take medicine, and talk to me until I started feeling better (thanks Erin!). So thus, I am now much better, but yesterday was awful....I hate missing class....I am not a slacker!!
