We went to the Turf Club yesterday. The firm had a box and it was damn atas!!!! Private room high above the racetrack, buffet dinner and booze and massive uninformed betting.
We tried betting on all jockeys who wore pink. Lost.
We tried betting on the ones that had the best payout. Of course we lost.
Then we tried betting on the horses with the Mat names. They came trotting in last.
Then, we tried betting on the ones with funny names. Success!!!! SEACUCUMBER!!! Champion Money Winning Horsey!!!!
It was quite fun. Everyone should try it at least once.
A friend who was also there and met Del told me later that I'm damn lucky Del is marrying me.
