a dog-day of spring?
Alrighty then. ...what did i do today again?
ah! since i got to sleep before 12 last night (*waits for the gasps of horror from the readers to die down*) i was up at 9 (*hopes they don't pass out from so much gasping*). Best Buy called last night and said it's the motherboard that was shorted out and it would be over $200 to fix it (parts and labor) ...ppphtt. Screw that. Went to Best Buy and looked around at the boards they had in the store, all way too much in both price and power for what's needed. So we went to Genstar, a small parts seller across town and got an even better board then we started with (but nearly the same thing.. though it's red o_o ). Got home, wired it all up, set the jumpers etc... *deep breath* push the power aaaand... it works!!! It shows me a BIOS screen that says the CMOS is configured wrong so i go into BIOS to change settings- *click* ....wtf?? *pushes power button a few times.. no display* ;_;!!!!
so i'm gonna fiddle around with it some more later, i'm not sure but i just might have plugged in some of the front panel ports in wrong, if it's not that then i'll go get a new processor from Genstar as well, because one connector was bent and uh....b-broke off the original one >>'''''
oops, forgot that right after Best Buy we walked down the strip mall to Petsmart to get a ton of cat food (little pigs!) and they were having a bit Adopt a pet fair. Mostly all dogs, but the place was packed o_o One old guy even had a 3' snake wrapped around his arm as he looked at other lizards or maybe stuff to put in the snake cage? As we were walking past the cages outside we noticed one dog was a bit different, Pheb...phoebe... screw it! it's pronounced Fe-be *hates strange spellings like that*, she's an Austrailan cattle dog.. with three legs. In case you didn't know we have a cat, Luke, that has three legs and he's the most active and fastest of all the cats. So we were naturally drawn towards her.. as more than just a nolviety like the other people that looked at her. So while mom was inside buying the food i stayed outside and played with her, let her out of her cage and walked her around. Just like Luke, she's fast o-o and just so nice and...awww. But i got the card of the lady taking care of her for now. so... we might actually get a dog so day in the not-too-distant future >>' maybe.
*sniffs hands* ...they still smell like dog x_x why is it people don't seem to notice how oily a dog's fur is and how much dogs smell up a house (they say cat's smell up houses.. but i don't believe that..)
