Kansas bill allows spanking hard enough to bruise
Presently, Kansas only allows spanking if it does not leave a mark.
The bill, introduced by Democratic state Rep. Gail Finney, would allow parents and caregivers alike to spank kids up to ten times.
“This bill basically defines a spanking along with necessary reasonable physical restraint that goes with discipline, all of which has always been legal,” Britt Colle, a Kansas county attorney who gave Finney the idea for the bill, told a local television station.
