So in another twist of bad luck...
The washer broke tonight.
We did 3 loads of laundry today and right before we had to leave for Courtney's doctor appointment the washer said "CE" on the display and stopped. So we turned it off and turned it on again. Then it did stuff for about 5 minutes and said "Ld". Hmm. Well we left. So we get back from bible study tonight (hadn't been home until then) at 10pm and started it again. This time it said "Ld" again. Well that's good that it's giving the same error now. Did some research online and found what the codes mean. "Ld" stands for Long drain. This was psyically confirmed by the 5 inches of water and clothes in the drum. :-P
So we start bailing the water out of the washer. 10 gallons later and we can't bail anymore....
So we flip the washer on it's side so I can get at the bottom to take the panel off. Out comes another 6 gallons. The shop vac that Courtney got for christmas :-D paid for itself tonight.
So by this point it's midnight and Courtney goes to bed. I got the water on the floor to a managable level ie it wasn't a half inch standing anymore. Contributing to the problem is the fact that the hot water valve doesn't turn off all the way. So now I have hot water running mostly down the drain but some down the wall!
So I get the bottom panel off and try and figure out what's going on. It's a draining issue so I trace the drain line.
Well drain line goes into this contraption right here IE the pump. That's probably my culprit.
So I start to undo it.
undo the clips there and the pump pops off.
here you can see the impeller inside the pump. Guess what was stuck in the impeller!?!?!
yeah that's pretty nasty. Big ole hunk of bath matt as far as I can tell (last thing washed in washer...still wet.)
so I get it all put back together.
start it up and do the express wash feature so that I can see it drain. stand around and wait for 10 minutes for it to fill and wash. Then it drains!!! HALLALUJAH! So I let it finish the express wash and get out of my wet clothes as well as clean up some of the mess and water everywhere. Well then the washer beeps and says "LF". CRAP!! I go look up "LF" ... Long Fill. Oh right I forgot to turn on the cold water. I have a Y valve that splits the cold water with an RODI (Reverse Osmosis De-Ionizing) unit for my fish tanks. So I flip the valve and hear the tube fill with water. Yay! I put in the wet towels and the load that was in there before it broke and go do the dishes that I was supposed to do after bible study. Well half way through the dishes it beeps again and says LF. DANGIT. Oh right I didn't turn the cold valve back on. D'Oh!
In conclusion. I win. Take that sucky life! You only think that you are going to get me down!
